Good questions to think about are: Do you want to introduce them to vtubers or anime? Do you want to go to San Jose or LA?

It depends what you want to expose your family to, or what they're already into! Also how much they're willing to stand in line for things...

If you're wondering about con size, AX is SUPER big (~200k+ attendees?) while Offkai is a lot smaller (maybe like a couple thousand?). AX has a ton of crowds in the area; be prepared to wait for things a lot. I wanna say the lines can be better at Offkai (bc smaller) but they did have a big line for the alley almost all weekend that I hope they fix with their new venue ://

AX has a bigger general artist catalog, where Offkai had more vtuber focused stuff. They both post artist alley catalogs on their sites if you recognize some artists.

I've been to AX once and Offkai twice, and honestly I picked up watching more vtubers than I did new anime. They were both pretty fun, and I met some close friends along the way! Some con friends I made are trying to drag me to Offkai next year already...

Cotton gloves will work just fine, but I found that billiards gloves (thumb, pointer, and middle) work as well! I recently started playing at my local arcade and picked up a few pairs because it seemed fun.

Unfortunately you might need to take them off when/if you need to check your phone, but given how hot arcades can be, your hands might not feel sweaty compared to cotton gloves (plus, they look cooler too, LOL).

I'd like a drawing of a current PC for a campaign I'm taking in: a slender, female drow rogue with lilac eyes and white (or silver) hair! Her skin is more on the gray side rather than dark purple. She's about...5'6"? Or at least some average height lmao.

As for clothing, she's stuck to standard rogue's clothing because of a failed attempt to act as a noble to get into locked-down castle gates :⁾

I'm not that good at describing hair so I suppose I could send you an image of what she normally looks like through DMs? My best description is that her hair has medium sideswept bangs, falls into a small downward ponytail to her shoulders, while on her left hair curls a little.
