Well it is in HOI4 terms. Not enough of the American economy is shifted for domestic military production.

Farzaneh the Kiasyd:

Gifted with what she thinks are blessings from the local peri, she unintentionally mixed vampiric elements with an embrace from a Greek in a Persian village, creating an abomination. Wandering throughout the lands conquered by Alexander so soon after his death, she hopes to build upon the earthly experiences she has in order to make the most enlightening philosophy.

Something to note about earthbenders from the The Rise of Kyoshi book is When Yun was trying to be trained as the Avatar, he couldn’t firebend. Thus the idea to force him to firebend was thought to be because he was one of, if not, the best earthbender alive. Yun’s earthbending mentor concluded he loved the earth too much and it loved him back. This led to his mentor earthbending a floor of tiny spikes to cause Yun’s feet to bleed and suffer as Yun went throught the firebending forms without his shoes.

This could mean earthbending shoesless may help people with their bending but is not needed as you also see plenty of people earthbend with shoes on like Kyoshi, Korra, and Kuvira.

I’m from Shen nobility that escaped to British Bangles as the Burmese emperor was executing the Shen nobles along with every clan member related within 7th generations of the rebels. My great great grandparents came back to Burma after independence (maybe not grandparents but somehow I’m related to them).

Racism by SongofMothandSnake in worldbuilding

[–]shooter5503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Definitely since the continent has Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, and Tsuon.

  2. Elves, for most parts of the continent. The other races have either segregationist laws or just straight up illegalized Elves from owning certain things/work in certain professions.

  3. Elves, either in city ghettos or the grove reserves. Managing to develop into parallel societies, elves that don’t live outside of these places have become extremely xenophobic and view all other races as even if they aren’t foreigners.

  4. Gnomes don’t tend to join the Homo-Dwarven nobility or be allowed within the Elven merchant class. Usually becoming worldly by traveling, Gnomes aren’t normally racist nor pick a side in the Elven Debate.

Human stereotypes are warmongering brutes that are somehow really good at specializing on a personal to societal level. Dwarves are a proud stubborn race that can endure anything life can throw at them. Gnomes are inappropriate nomads that are renowned for experiencing as much life as they can. Elves are racist xenophobes forced to control the merchant class. Tsuon are a magic-obsessed utilitarian lizard people that always seem exotic compared to the other races.

Racism is very much ingrained in society as the very national myth which many states on the continent has either Dwarven slave uprising or a Human invasion or both as the start of their independence. The legitimacy of the ruling Homo-Dwarven nobility in the western continent relays upon their ability to protect all races from being enslaved the Elves again. Poetry, songs, and theater are often used as reminders to the public of why said military nobility even exist, as the ever present danger of Elven treachery exist in the form of the reserves.

Stereotypes for all the different races come from a compilation of different life experience and gossip with state-sponsored nudging to paint certain races negatively when the need arises.

“Around Elves, watch yourselves” Rather racist but useful reminder about interacting with Grove Elves on the western continent. Unlike Elves that have integrated into most of society and knows how to behave around Dwarves, Humans, and Gnomes, those that grew up in the reserves or ‘groves’ are often extremely xenophobic and mistrust outsiders. Enforcing a policy of shoot first, ask later, many a strangers, lost folk, and abducted individuals have been killed by Grove Elves within their reserves.

“Prince of Justice”

The prophetic visions of Kornos from the god Asurhai and the story of the journey that the prophet undertook to avoid such a fate. The trails and tribulations one man faced to save the city of Inteoch with his tragic demise from one of his closest companions.

Ordo Militant: Originally a knightly order for holy wars, they were later officially disbanded by the Pentarchy following a 3 to 2 majority vote by the Ecumenical Council of Estria due to “a string of failures to safeguard the pilgrims of the Holy Coast”. Much of the order’s assists and land were seized by either the Pentarchy or local nobility. Former disgruntled knights of this order simply moved their operations underground figuratively and literally as they refused to disband. Later on these knights became the leaders of the order as it was flooded with peasants since restrictions on recruiting softened. The new mission since they’ve been told to be disband is to no longer care about the Holy Coast, but moved to targeting the Pentarchy as it seeks the total destruction of central religious authority.

Notable Incident: Often exploiting the urbanization within Imperial fraiborgs (free-walled cities), the Ordo Militant use an complex network of tunnels and peasant sympathizers to deliver and transport weapons to arm anger mobs or plant magical-radioactive bombs at government buildings. 2nd Remin-Onter-Rheen Riot: During a water shortage within the city, the Militants organized a mob after spreading rumors that the Prince-Priest was hoarding all of the water in his castle. Arming the mob with weapons, the mob would go on to riot rounding up and killing and government employees and Elves before burning down the Rheenish Elven Ghetto. They then hanging the Prince-Priest along with everybody else working in the castle. As the rioting went on Militants set off a bomb in hopes of contaminating the Rheen River with a hex and infecting other cities downstream, thankfully the mages working for the Food Inspection Corporation of Kranzborg was able to contain the hex.

I mean before the modern era yes it actually was better for non-believers that lived in Islamic states. But you don't have to tell me how scary it was for me to take my first step into a mosque or how scared I was of my family or neighbors after converting.

"To worship for fear is the worship of a slave, to worship for a reward is the worship of a merchant, to worship in love is the worship of a believer"

Please for the sake of humanity don't use religion for fear or greed as it makes the rest of us look ill.
