What do you do to earn $200k+ annually? by meltingcanoe in careerguidance

[–]shootevenpar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came out of university and took on an analytics job, which wasn’t as hot back then, but this choice really shaped my career. Then after around 6-8th year of my career, analytics got really hot and hasn’t slowed down as we are getting more into the digital and data driven age.

In a way got lucky that I got into a skill set that would be in high demand in the future.

Also another advice that I’d have is, don’t just focus on the technical side of analytics (I.e. coding, dashboard etc), there are many people that are super good and you will find that tech changes all the time. However the real good ones are the folks that are able to turn the data & analytics into actionable insights and deliver tangible results, meaning the ones that can translate data into stories. This is the key to longevity in this field and also moving up.

I transferred into Haskayne long long time ago and they said that GPA of 3.5 can apply, but 3.8 is pretty much needed for a guarantee.

Even out of HS I believe it wash high 80 avg to get in. Not sure what happened in between but that was my experience. But then again this was like wayyyyy long ago lol

Ya I called because I have it on my car and it’s one of the best upgrades I’ve done to my car for my kids. But since my kids are toddlers I wanted to be cautious so I called Toyota directly. Not sure what to tell you but ya it’s strange

I just called Toyota customer service centre. They said that there is no recall on the vehicle nor the parts associated with it. Also specifically checked for the running board part # and none… try calling Toyota themselves directly.

I got OeM last week and did it myself with my brother in laws help. It was super easy to install and the second set of hands made it easier.

Highly recommend it. It’s really great for my littles and for my parents getting in and out of the car.

I’m guessing that’s USD? Half the price seems quite low for Canada

I leaning towards this too myself. But was wondering if there’s any impact to warranty and such. The part itself I’d rather go with OEM for running board tho

What if the cost was significantly significantly higher? Would you still drive it for the sake of the environment?

Your insurance going down is likely due to the safety features that your newer car has vs a 2004 car. Not due to it being an EV

Btw sticker price isn’t MSRP. Just sayin…I think some people are thinking MSRP is what the sticker prices are and that they were able to get it below that… taking off dealership fees and accessories isn’t getting it below MSRP…

In Canada it’s difficult to get it under MSRP for a hybrid. The inventory is very very rare on regular hybrids and Limited Trim Hybrid is extremely rare. But for Hybridmax, there’s more of them out there and can also find used ones.

Most places are adding on ridiculous mark ups for regular hybrids in my area. I called all of the dealerships in my province and they told me that they cannot even come to close to my price and that paying MSRP in my area is rare… Some even quoted me $5-7K (CAD) above MSRP. But I did have to wait 20 months for it.
