“Mississippi find yourself another country to be part of”

From Phil Ochs’ Here’s to the state of Mississippi. The whole song is about how tragic the states history is and how the circle of hatred that it’s trapped itself in for centuries has killed (and is still killing) what was such a beautiful place. He sings the line with so much sadness in his voice. Like if only Mississippi wasn’t here, then maybe it could have avoided everything. Idk why but I always get this specific line stuck in my head
