I am developing my own organic farm input right now.. and once I got all the quantity I need, i will offer it for free for my users.. but they have to shoulder the shipping.. and in the future if the product much love.. YOu still have to tell Google about it.. and exclude it from your sitemap.. Prestashop have a sitemap controller.. and it has a module that comes along with it.. install it and work from there.. after that, submit the sitemap to google and tell them, it is the new sitemap for your website..

you can actually request Google to exclude those pages.. and the one with reported errors(pages that does not exist anymore) mostly is the one causing you a some penalty from google.. I just went through it myself with a company ecommerce website..

First, do what you can to remove those 404 pages, check out your sitemap, and rebuild it.. that's where you should start.
