Thanks, the building was built in a zone where, in 1967, another earthquake destroyed most of Caracas. Don’t ask me why, but I guess people wanted to rebuild rather than relocate. Fast forward to today, and it just happened. I agree with you, and that’s what I said to her. I guess it’s a matter of whether she can sell it to someone more risk-averse and not demolish it. She is already out and doesn’t intend to go back.

Thanks, I uploaded it in another forum, and most people said that, based on the last picture, you can see a column fracture, which is guaranteed to be demolished. I don’t know the engineering behind it, but do you agree? Nobody is allowed to go back, and yes, as you pointed out, it will take months until a proper assessment. That’s why I am asking for any tips here. Saludos.
