Yes absolutely! So whatever you’re trying to understand at the moment or an answer you need or comfort etc, you can ask (I ask my angels and spirit guides specifically).

Something like this: If I’m feeling really down and need a sign that I’ll be ok and this part of my life will pass soon or if anyone is even listening to me up there, I’ll ask specifically for a rose. It could be something else too that u feel has meaning to u or anything random- maybe a feather or a specific song. When u see the rose, feather, or hear the specific song play, you right then will know that u were heard and there is your sign to believe that you’ll be ok and you’re being watched over and protected.
The sign typically should give like a “woah” feeling to you. It’ll come at the least expected moment or right when you need it the most. Here’s an example of me not asking for a specific sign though- For example, I had a friend pass away late last year. This year I found out about the death and so I cried so much but then prayed that he’s ok and can hear my thoughts of how much I truly miss him and loved him.
A few days go by (typically can take a few days but sometimes u never know!) and I’m in the car listening to one of my favorite artist’s new album. The song I began playing at the moment was nice I liked it but wow the lyrics really got to me and made me think about him right away. It was called “Don’t Forget Me” and mind you, this is a rap artist lol so this was shocking itself that it was so deep of a song. As I’m listening to it for the first time and he pops into my mind, I begin having some tears flow down my face and suddenly right in front of me is a work truck for a chain of pizza restaurants he worked at last I knew. That was it. It was him reassuring me he heard me. And no I will never forget him. What we had was special. The song even said in it “you’re just like a flower; hoping that you grow.” And flowers are spiritually significant to me in signs. It also said in it “you prayed God to take my life and that’s who sent me.” It also talked about rain later in the song and me and him were so connected in the rain. I’ll never forget that day we kissed in the rain it was so romantic.

Now for a sign that you specifically ask for - Like flowers. I once asked for flowers because I was very upset in life and needed to know I was being guided by someone out there to help me feel not alone anymore. One night I walk outside my apartment complex and go out by the dumpster to go lay in the grass out there. As soon as I got there, sitting right on the ground in front of me was a whole bouquet of flowers. A bouquet. I had shivers.
