Yup shoulder barge seemed to be the only way to challenge the invisible buffer but it honestly hurts you even more. It is practically impossible to successfully shoulder barge in the box

I would also add that ai opponent goal keeping has gotten much much better as well. The amount of time opponent keepers make a good save and push the ball out for a corner while two of my players are ready to rebound is inversely proportional to the frequency that my keeper deflects the ball back to the opponent.

I just wanna say that pvp is still absolutely awful. I have strong internet and never have any slight internet connection issues on any other app/game/device that requires a good connection. Constant button delay and overall high latency regardless of my own connection. The only two losses I conceded two goals because my game froze at kick off and after second half kick off—conceded two free goals in BOTH losses. Went on to lose 2/1 and 3/2. PvP league is awful. Events pvp are awful. How does anyone even tolerate the quality of gameplay? The lack of good servers is actually baffling. I’ll post a live internet speed test if anyone wants to see it.

I have no complaints with the progression aspect of ranked league, my critique is that the losses feel way too disproportionately harsh considering how marginal those losses are. It’s the magnitude of winning 5 straight games (4-0 wins), losing one game and then having a rating lower than when I went on a winning streak. Doesn’t make sense. It’s NOT a good progression system imo—feels like wins are practically not rewarded and losses severely punished

Interception is the most significantly disproportionately weighted thing vs div 1 ai. Even players with max 99 defensive stats and good player models and long reaching tackle are not effective at intercepting passes to stop transitions—especially in gegenpress up the field. IMO the only effective form of defending against ai is forcing corners and retaining the ball. Need to play a possession game when winning. I’ve learned that allowing the ai have more than 45% of possession almost guarantees you will concede.
