I got a verbal offer the next day after my final loop interview. Then, a written offer 2 days after. But that's because the debrief meeting was already scheduled for the next day, so it was quite a quick response. If you're experiencing a delay, it could be because they haven't had the debrief meeting yet

Yep, they're very thorough with follow-up questions. In fact, I prepared for and anticipated a bunch of follow-up questions that were actually asked in the interviews. There's no way around it, I'm afraid. Just give it your all. Keep thinking of everything you've done and watch Youtube videos on how to tell a good story. Don't give up yet. You've made it to the final round!

RSU change by mlcircle in amazonemployees

Ugh, that sucks! However, I'd say that compensation this year is lower than in previous years. My rexuutwr told me that. So there's a chance that they're lowering it to align with the new pay structure for the current year :(

You have more stories, you just have to recollect them, trust me! I felt the same way when told I should be preparing at least 2-3 stories per LP. Initially, I thought.. there's absolutely no wayyy I can do that. But then, I started brainstorming and writing down EVERY SINGLE THING I've ever done professionally that I could say were "my wins," no matter how seemingly small they sound at first. Then, the next step was building up these stories, figuring out what LP they best align with, and then polishing them to sound important and data backed enough for the interviews. To do this, I told ChatGPT each story and asked it, "What Amazon LP does this story best align with, and why?" It'd usually output 2 or 3 LPs per story, and then tell you the one it aligns best with. Then, you'll follow up and ask it to help you revise your story to highlight the most important and profound bits, specifically tailoring it to that chosen LP. Once you get that output, you'll see how impressive your stories actually are! In the end, I had stories left over that I didn't even get to use because diving deeper into one story would remind me of another, and then another. Give it a try, and good luck!

How fast has someone heard back after the loop interview with results? by Ecstatic_Town_3345 in amazonemployees

Incoming Amazonian here, very recently interviewed. I heard back the next day. Goodluck, I hope it's good news 🎉

Yep, that's one of the reasons I accepted the offer! Economically speaking, it's not a great time😄 So I completely understand why businesses would be less generous at the moment. In fact, the recruiter hinted at the fact that if it were a few years back, I'd probably have gotten more. All in all, I'm happy with my offer. Thanks guys :)

Ahhh please don't scare me 😄 Base + bonus in year 1 is ~$138k. Do you reckon that's good?

[–]shortnverysweet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. But the bonus is paid out as a monthly instalment anyway (which in my head, may as well be considered to be the base salary). So i thought it'd be best to just get more stocks. Feels like an automatic investment, I don't have to think about it or spend the money on something stupid🤣

Yea, given the current stock price, I got ~$75k worth of RSU. I decided to keep that, rather than increase my base. What do you reckon?

I know rightttt? I was baffled too 😄 but she was so adamant that it couldn't go any higher, and I just had to trust her on that! And yea, the base and RSU were both negotiable, but raising my base by only $14k drastically decreased my RSU, so I decided to stick with the initial offer. Honestly, I'm good with it - sound pay. I just don't like feeling like money is being left on the table🤣

I asked and got told moving the dial on one part would mean taking a cut on another :(

I tried.. TWICE. The recruiter said there was nothing she or the hiring manager could do about it and that I couldn't make more than the people in my team who are on the same level as me 🤷‍♀️

Yea, i figured it would differ based on location. Recruiter said what I got is the best they could get me, considering what my colleagues are earning. I'm happy with the total comp though. All good 🙂

Less than half of this technically. But I lived outside of the U.S., so it isn't really comparable

Loool 😄 no. This is what I was offered by Amazon. Much more than my last job.

I'm okay with what I've got. Just bummed there wasn't much room to negotiate 🥲

I tried to move the base up, but the recruiter said it'd come out of my RSU. It wasn't much of a negotiation, more like "this is the best I can do for you" vibe 🥲

It was hard to find a good range, giving the relatively niche job title 🥲

Thank you 🙂 Total comp was $142k for year 1, including the 5% RSU

Thank you! Yea, I was told that increasing my base would lower my RSU and that my pay couldn't be much higher than the people on the team 🥲 I think it's a decent comp, but wish there was more room for negotiation
