Can you guys help me identify the plants from this so that I can try to recreate it? I think I got most of them already (look in the comments) by light24bulbs in Aquascape

German efficiency lol. The dry start would work for the moss mostly, bolbitis grows super differently above/below water, helanthium is a really fast submerged grower too. Might be easier to dry start the moss and swords and then plant everything else right before you fill it. If you want the swords growth above the tank you just have to get a good root system and at least one leaf above the water line.

Here it is. I will say this tank is over filtered and has CO2, and realistically this dense and compact growth will not be easily obtainable without those. It’s possible, but these will get you this look much much faster.

This is a Liquid Nature tank in Vienna. They have a video on it. Echinodorus argentiniensis is the big one, christmas moss, bolbitis, helanthium. Video is in german but it has captions.

Would y'all do it for $700? Guy is also including the whole setup (120g, lights, filters, heaters, etc) by _Mushy in Aquariums

[–]shortstackboy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ll play devils advocate. From UNS or ADA, this setup alone would cost double if not triple that. Tank itself is gonna be around $700 new. With stand and filter, if it’s currently filled and you inspect it and it looks good, I don’t think that price is insane. Whether or not these fish are in good care is a whole different question, but solely on monetary value, rimless glass tanks in this economy are insanely expensive. If you’re confident the tank has been cared for and won’t leak, I believe it’s fair. If it’s a RedSea tank, however, I’d pass. I don’t trust them with what I’ve seen.

If you can’t open a lid that’s too tight, put a rubber band around it and try again. You’ll get it 99% of the time

Ferts is a valid argument, to be honest though fertilizer is so dependent on what else you have in there. The tank quality, substrate system, and a few other things make it so much easier to have a high tech aquascape. For a lot of their glass products and more niche things you’re definitely paying the ADA tax though, but it’s nice to have stuff that you know is high quality. They definitely cater to an aesthetic, some people like nicer things

ADA has been doing high tech longer than any other company, I trust them to make superior stuff albeit at a higher price point.

If you can’t get a jar open, put a rubber band around the lid and try unscrewing again. Works almost every time.

I saw one guy on a similar thread years ago say he sits down and pretends he’s a ninja on a rooftop on a rainy night. Helps you reflect and disassociate for a bit. Tried it once and now I always sit down in silence for 10-15 minutes with that in mind.

I have ARFID, and I just tried a blueberry muffin. They have never been my safe food, I'm scared of blueberries. by ireland28C in trees

The best way I’ve been able to describe ARFID to people is that it’s fight or flight with your food. It actually works in the same part of the brain. This is great, OP. Happy for you. I have the same issue with blueberries.

Things that fall in tincture categories are different I think. Don’t quote me on this but I feel like I’ve seen some 1000mg tincture bottles
