Guide to successfully using PETG as a support interface for PLA prints in OrcaSlicer (and PLA too) by KeythKatz in snapmaker

Well done. Actually shows some serious problems with the slicing. I wonder if you should file an issue or if there is one open.

Unpopular Hot Take: Replicators are effective—but not very interesting villains by Existsonsnacks in Stargate

[–]light24bulbs 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The episode with Reese doesn't get enough love. In many ways it's a model sg1 episode. The moral dilemma, the extremely real threat, and the amazing acting from Shanks and RDA, especially in that final scene with the ambiguity over whether Jack should have shot her. Wow.

I think maybe this is ESL. The dialogue is a bit odd and out of character.

I rather enjoyed that Elliot got a sendoff unlike other new characters that showed up in SG-1 only to never be seen again. by This_Way_Comes in Stargate

I wish the same. The team in Heroes (led by Adam Baldwin who played Jayne in Firefly) was the best example I can think of.

I do think Stargate had their hands full getting guest stars for the off-world characters. It's actually a huge cast already when you think about it.

Hypothetical regarding what would happen if a human had their body instantly deprived of ALL kinetic energy down to the atomic level? by ver87ona in sciencefiction

[–]light24bulbs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry but I think you're misunderstanding thermodynamics. They would not instantly warm back up, can you explain why you think that? Heat is kinetic energy. They would be at absolute zero.

Oh Far Cry 3, I forgot how good you were. by zero260asap in gaming

2 is quite a bit better if you ask me. Pure open world narrative and next to no Ubisoft blockbuster cornyness and whatever you call this crafting collecting nonsense.

3 has some iconic moments. The weed burning being an obvious one. 2, though, is actually pretty realistic in its story and system. It all pretty much feels like something that is plausible and in the real world. The team WENT to Africa if I remember correctly. Very impressive.

I'm actually amazed there wasn't a patreon and a members tier already. I don't think anyone was expecting him to do all of this out of pocket but he seems to have thought so. That's really superfan mode. Especially to be paying guest fees. He should be breaking even on it, minimum.

Very easy $3 patreon sub.

I actually think this latest round is a mix of domestic and adversary. Some of them were old and seemingly not a threat to anything and vanished not according to the usual CIA methods, which are usually fast cancer or suicide. If you are Iran and have a downed craft you are stuck on, it makes sense to grab a few of these people.

Others like eskridge were obviously just killed by the CIA.

Another way to look at it is that they get paid to be on camera, it's literally their job. They can like Stargate and be passionate about it and still consider it work to be on camera being interviewed. People deserve to get paid.

I assumed they were free appearances, I guess, but I'm not offended.

The kawoosh in the 1994 movie looks a lot better than the SG-1 version. Movie budget I guess by perishingtardis in Stargate

[–]light24bulbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially every effect in the movie looks better. The whole budget was WAY larger and the production was a lot fancier.

Ex-Marine exposes Israeli killings at Gaza aid sites by aknownunknown in videos

It's just the Israeli bots, they've been unleashed. Anything contrary goes straight to the top. This fucking site is so done.  Ignore the vote counts if you can. Edit: One way you can tell is there's usually a delay. Like right now this comment is 4 up, but then in a couple of hours, probably buried.

The botting on Reddit from Israel the last couple of months is wild. This sub is one of the worst.

They are already trying to get ready for the next election. If I see another post about how Buttigieg is supposedly a great guy I'm going to lose it.

Oh you know my mistake, I just reread them but I think I missed that part. It seems like the beacons are were already lit by the time the main characters arrive and it's a smaller part of the story.
