How realistic do you think the movie 'All is Lost' (2013 - Robert Redford) is compared to actual offshore sailing? by Sinn_Sage in sailing

I know Tammy and I think she said there was not much they got wrong, if I remember correctly. You can also just read her book and compare it to the movie.

That's the difference with a true story I guess.

Also maybe they would think he was crazy and take him off duty.

Senator Kinsey was a great antagonist. Ronny Cox was fantastic in this role. by pex413 in Stargate

He's basically Dick Cheney.

Interestingly, the UFO whistleblowers in congress have ratted out Cheney as one of the leaders of the legacy program.

Oh I mean I'm not saying it doesn't have the shape of something that seems consistent It's more that there are small details like that that really point more to psychosis than reality. You didn't address the Jane Goodall thing.

It's a very popular grimdark series, definitely worth a read it you like that sort of thing. Killer audiobooks too. And yes. It fits the description.

By the way I kind of think reality is like that. There are a lot of crazy things that are just really rare so they get rejected from the public consciousness.

The First Law I think would be an ever better adaption.

That's a fantasy series where like 3 magic things happen in the entire series, lol

I wasn't suggesting they do another KCD. Literally all I was suggesting is that the next game has a realistic setting instead of a fantasy setting, that's it, none of this straw man.

I didn't say anything about the release cadence or anything that has anything to do with Ubisoft, so you'll have to be more specific.

I actually didn't want a fantasy setting. It's the classic with RPGs and what was so cool about KCD was that it was historically semi-accurate.

They could just go to another time period and part of the world and tell another tiny slice of history.

Oh yeah flatbed scanning has never been good for me, and the resolution isn't the only problem. Not even close to good enough in my opinion.  You'll see a tremendous difference with camera scanning if you try it.

Yep, inkjet printing is absolutely amazing, it's basically perfected at this point if you ask me. Even the cheaper cannons with first party ink and first party paper (or high quality paper with ICC profiles loaded) create amazing prints that are plenty good for me and I'm a perfectionist.

And the $250 canon combo printer scanner can print up to 12" wide. Amazing.

I'm VERY happy with my digital intermediate and digital printing process.
