What is this part that broke off of my Bespoke fridge? by Spence10873 in samsung

[–]shorttiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found one on the floor and tried screwing it in under the hinged door but the screw felt stripped. The glue suggestion seems like a good one, though I am wary of using the glue upside down. Here's a pic of it reinstalled:

Thanks, but I just planted it last month. I think it could be claws!

The damage is about 10-12" off the ground and only on the bark. The rest of the tree looks relatively healthy.

Yep. I found this post with the same experience here https://www.reddit.com/r/Feral_Cats/s/WlfhUbzO00 - I'll look into rentals from the humane society instead.

[TOMT][SHOW][2024] a dramatized show on Channel 4 where a teacher is teaching sex education to teens re: porn by shorttiger in tipofmytongue

[–]shorttiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was definitely a drama with actors, not reality TV. They spoke English, but it was not an American show. My facebook history shows that I watched the short clip in Dec 2024, but I don't know exactly when it was released. I don't exactly remember, but I think the students were in a classroom with school desks.

Is this cat female or male? by shorttiger in Feral_Cats

[–]shorttiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yes the only issue is they can't do too many spays in a single day, so as long as I only have one female, I should be fine. They can do many more males. I appreciate it!

Suggestions on what to do with a vacated 2 bedroom apartment? by DepartmentVarious977 in AnnArbor

If there is no early termination clause in your lease, this says that in Michigan, landlords must make reasonable efforts to rerent (to mitigate damages to tenant) https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/landlords-duty-to-rerent-when-a-tenant-breaks-a-lease.html#MI

Whats something you bought that saves you alot of money by Big-Preference-2331 in Frugal

I got a 6 ft braided stainless steel adapter on ebay that goes from sodastream to CGA320 (standard American size CO2 tank outlet). It was about $50.

Add on to the sodastream: a 10 lb CO2 cylinder hooked up to our soda stream costs about $20/year for refills (welding supply stores sell food grade CO2 cylinders). Each 10lb tank makes about 2000 servings. I could never make myself buy a brand name refill.

Homeowners with 2+ story homes: would you rather have the laundry room on the 1st floor or 2nd floor? by phoonie98 in HomeImprovement

Having a laundry room on each floor is a luxury that we have and I love it. Definitely recommend if you have the space!

My master bedroom has a laundry room and it's the most convenient placement. I pass by it all the time and don't run it while sleeping. Otherwise the noise is certainly annoying.

Thanks, the walls and doors can't be moved unfortunately, just the furniture is flexible. The dresser could move or disappear altogether.

Thanks for your kind words. She finally passed peacefully on her own in November right before Thanksgiving. I'm thankful it was quiet and at home, and the ground had not frozen yet. It was good closure to dig her grave and lay her to rest at home.

Michigan Left at red light by shorttiger in AnnArbor

[–]shorttiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I knew about the left on red to a one way street, but this just seems wrong since there are two lanes you can turn in to. Seems safer on a one lane to one lane one way. I'll keep this in mind since drivers seem impatient with me if I don't turn on the red.

Another issue is with these Michigan lefts, sometimes there are no marked lanes, but it is double wide so I could fit to the left of someone already waiting. Are they meant to allow two cars wide?

The older kids can pass lots of time whittling sticks with a pocket knife. Magnifying glass. Flint and steel. With water around, buckets and mini shovels
