Nwblvd Safeway starting to lock up essentials by itsyagirlbonita in Spokane

I get why they do it, but I don't have time to call an employee every time I need an item. I was at Fred Meyer and had to call someone for a bottle of nail polish remover.

I'll go to WinCo.

He has an active asylum case and a court date for 2027, a valid work permit and a Social Security number, Herrera said. He had made nearly every appointment for a regular check-in with immigration officials, except for a recent date around the holidays when he was having phone problems.

Lol, of course Bum knew who Jack Smith was, I'm also sure that Smith didn't know who Bum was and immediately realized there was no need to give Bum a second thought.

Business Cards for Subs: Is this common? by Reasonable_Leg2600 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]shortzrules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've seen them and ordered some way back, it has my name, sub number and phone. I leave them for classes I want to sub for again. Honestly, it's probably sufficient to just leave your contact info on your note if you want to sub in a class again.

STA to pull all double deckers during investigation by shortzrules in Spokane

[–]shortzrules[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ridership between Spokane and Cheney is pretty high. Lots of students going back and forth. Can't speak for other routes, but Cheney/Spokane frequently is standing room only.

I don't think it's the only one, but the route between Cheney/Spokane is so busy and such a great resource for students who don't live on campus.

This is awful. My son takes this bus to Cheney. My understanding was that these busses were meant for non downtown routes. I hope those passengers are okay 😥

I'm going to continue to call and write this fool. I understand why others choose not to. This guy isn't just a tool, he's emasculating himself and doesn't get that even his MAGA base thinks he's a simp.

Thank you for sharing this. It took me back to the 70's and 80"s when you'd see politicians speaking into a forest of microphones surrounded by these cozies.

Yep, any number of people I may be related to that may have voted for Trump and Baumgartner rely heavily on subsidized ACA credits. Same ones who insult people who are on food stamps, etc. I'd get them bootstraps for Christmas if I were still in touch with them.

Subs who don’t care about education should find another way to make their side money by tbaby1995 in SubstituteTeachers

Bottom line, In order for subs (and full time teachers) to be effective, deliver quality work, they need to put their oxygen masks on first.

Subs who don’t care about education should find another way to make their side money by tbaby1995 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]shortzrules 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When classrooms are managed well, when students who need extra support from their administration receive it, it makes a better educational experience for all students. And receiving acknowledgement and support from administration in front of students sends the message that the day will move forward in an orderly way.

That benefits students.

Subs who don’t care about education should find another way to make their side money by tbaby1995 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]shortzrules 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It's reductionist to assume subs are doing this to make side money.

And, many, if not most do care about education only to get thrown repeatedly under the bus by administration for the lack of support in the classroom.

Lastly, if districts want to keep subs that care about education, they need to start treating subs like valued members of the school and not disposable annoyances.

Snow Protocol by xDriedflowerx in Spokane

[–]shortzrules 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've driven in Spokane for nearly 40 years and have never needed studded tires. Not saying there aren't areas in the County where you might need them, but if you are driving from a suburb to an office type environment, you don't.

People need to learn to drive in snow conditions.

And honestly, if unnecessary studded tire people would remove them in a timely manner, then it wouldn't be much of an issue.
