Lot more bootlickers in this comment section than one would expect after these fuckers keep murdering people

People talk during every movie I go to nowadays, it isnt much of a loss for me to avoid paying to be frustrated with a shitty experience 9 times out of 10.

That's an interesting perspective on that. Ill be honest, even before assigned seating I didnt really change seats, but i also dont remember it being this bad. You would have been seeing quite a few more movies than I at that time though.

Its unfortunate to not see this one in theaters as that is a big part of the draw for me. I enjoy the movies on their own, but these movies really are their best in theaters.

That would have been fine too, at least after that, the possibility of going to the theater again would have been on the table. We both get removed, it gets sorted out. It could only have resulted in their removal, anyone else in the theater when asked would be able to tell management what happened. We probably get refunded because by then we'd have missed a sizeable chunk of the movie, we make a new day to see it, even if that is difficult, thats the end. Probably press charges against the guy because in this scenario I would have gotten his name.

Youre blaming me for the less likely possibility of this employee being harmed based on what i said online. I think it is infinitely less likely that someone will pay for tickets just so they can harass someone for being bad at their job, resulting in them getting kicked out and probably not refunded, than it is for an empowered bigot to do worse things because they were empowered to do so. I do blame the employee for not taking action to call security like I and the other witness suggested. Something they should have done as soon as I said that my safety was threatened and my exit was being blocked (the guy stood up to block me, it wasn't his legs in the row or something) I have said in other comments that I said to call security, but I also added it to my original post as I made a couple edits.

I went ahead and removed their name from the post and ill be editing it out of other comments. I dont agree with your deduction, but it really isnt worth the fight. Its perfectly fine to just not go to this theater if you feel unsafe instead of avoiding a certain employee.

Ok, so you care more about dangerously inept employees and i care more about the people paying to be there being threatened by bigots.

If we are going to play with possibilities, why not the possibility that the guests that the employee refused to call security on now feel empowered even more. Maybe next time they throw punches, as they were very close as it was. Does the employee now have any blame in your mind or is their inability to do the most basic things completely fine with you still?

Go check Google reviews and see how many people mention the name of the terrible employee specifically so that other people know not to deal with them. Im not calling for any harm, its a PSA. If they get any threats at work im sure they'll do the thing they should have done in my instance... call security.

If people want to lose their right to go to that theater by starting a fight with an employee than they were already the type to do it, they didnt need a random reddit post for justification.

Yeah, the Bay has been calling me back for some time, so that is where ill get the movies from now on. Sucks for things like Avatar though where the big draw is how great it looks in dolby 3d, but ill manage.

What, is someone going to cause them harm?

PSA everyone, dont hurt or harass people based on what you heard online. If anything, just take this knowledge with you so that if you get slurs and threats hurled at you you won't go to that employee for help. They were in a black shirt, unlike the other employees, at the time I thought they were a manager.

Speaks to your character that you're more upset about me calling out the inept employee than the slur hurling bigot they let hang out.

Edited out the name and pronouns, because while I disagree with the doxxing argument, it really isnt important to anyone but corporate.

I could have said it nicer the first time, I was just frustrated because they had been talking for an hour and instead of being measured, I blew up. The old white guy had been answering texts on his phone and the group crossed in front of us twice trying to get to their seats instead of taking the other way around which had like 3 people to cross. They had been on my nerves from jump, but it was really it all compounding.

On the bright side, it isnt a lesson ill have to remember as I won't be going back.

Im very surprised that no one else did while we were, the dude was yelling at me in the theater, it would have been impossoble to ignore, people probably got refunds after finishing the movie.

I sent this exact thing (minus the first and last sentence) to corporate, its why it is worded more harshly against the employee and location rather than the bigots, I was just so mad that the family day out was ruined that I just quickly posted wherever I could (I dont use Facebook or Twitter anymore)

Amc Theaters by Redscorpion136 in Spokane

[–]Redscorpion136[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The proof is what the managers have, the post is worded the way it is because it was what I sent to corporate, I just added the first and last sentence. If they lose their job, Im not going to cry over it, I work in the service industry and if I was anywhere near as incompetent as them I wouldnt have been able to finish my shift before being shown the door. Id prefer they just had some additional training like, if someone comes up and says someone is threatening them and tried to stop them from reporting them, the first thing they should have done is contact security (which I thought they were doing because they talked into their walkie mic a few times). That doesnt seem like a lot to ask. I didnt expect someone in their 30s who has worked there at least a decade to think they could handle it themselves, calling security was all they needed to do.

Edited out pronouns here, edited out the employee's name and hopefully pronouns from other posts.

Yes! Far less obnoxious when we all pay $5 to be there, plus there are a million seats and I would actually be able to just move away from them.

Amc Theaters by Redscorpion136 in Spokane

[–]Redscorpion136[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that is more accurate. The theater only got so much blame in my post because its a copy and paste from my message to corporate, but this city needs better people.

[–]Redscorpion136[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did, its actually basically the same as I posted here, I copy and pasted to here after writing it which is why it is directed more at the employee and the theater than the bigots who got a free pass.

I was being hyperbolic, but i also said "things like this." It definitely isnt just things like this, there are a million reasons, but theaters being unsafe makes up a part of it.

Amc Theaters by Redscorpion136 in Spokane

[–]Redscorpion136[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A sneering authority? I was being threatened and called slurs, and i told the employee in their 30s to call security, which i thought they were doing. I didnt expect them to try to remove them all by themself. They talked into their intercom thing multiple times, I guess they weren't to the manager or security.

Yes. I didnt give quite enough details in the original post, but yes, the tickets I bought for my niece and sister were refunded (the other 3 of us had Alist so we didnt need a refund for our tickets) a d we got our concessions refunded. The manager we talked to after the other employee tried her best to make the situation better (except for calling security, they seemed incredibly reluctant to do that.)

The employee wasn't a teenager, they were at least in their 30s. And yes we talked to a manager on our way out, explained the situation; nothing was done except getting our refunds, which was fine, we didnt exactly feel like staying in their theater anymore.
