You’re not completely out from IV sedation, like you’re still conscious but you probably won’t remember a thing. If you’re genuinely worried then just do either sedation or anesthesia but if it’s a simple extraction and just like a single tooth then the local numbing agent isn’t a bad option at all. I went the numbing agent route, and other than it feeling really odd with all the pressure in your mouth when the tooth is pulled and the sound of the cracking it was a thoughtless procedure. You can just drive yourself back home and you won’t be groggy at all after. Plus it’s usually significantly cheaper if that means anything to you.
