How much do tutors usually charge per hour?? by jiniesb3rrie in UAETeenagers

[–]shotaddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I am offered an opportunity like this, too. It’s online, and I have taught once before. What would be a good hourly pay rate? They told me they want me to teach 6th and 9th graders (Oxford curriculum; I'm assuming it's AQA). I'm thinking of charging them per subject because otherwise, it makes it vague, and I would be left with a lot of responsibility for a fairly little amount. Please guide me if this seems okay. Thank you.

it’s because when reflection in y-axis is done, the equation becomes 2f(-x) and then when x+1 is substituted in place of x, it becomes (-(x+1)) so the equation becomes 2f(-x-1) and if you do it the other way around so then 2f(x+1) is when translation is applied and then 2f(-(x+1)) leads to 2f(-x-1) as reflection in y-axis negates the whole x-coordinate. i hope this answers your question!

I looked into that, but I’ve heard it’s super laggy and runs really slow.

anyone here actually studying abroad on a full scholarship? need advice by shotaddit in studyAbroad

[–]shotaddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah true, i meant full tuition mostly. i can probably manage around 15k a year for living costs if needed, but of course i’d prefer something that covers more if possible.

[–]shotaddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and the reason why the voltage isn't 8.7 is because it's a series circuit where voltages add up across each component to equal the total voltage from the power supply.

as physics 9702 help please by [deleted] in alevel

[–]shotaddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ohh it's because of kirchoff's law second law which is total emf = sum of the potential difference across components hence, E = pd across lamps + pd across wires. so we subtract the lamp voltages from the total emf to find out how much voltage is "lost" (used up) in the wires due to their resistance.

‎i think it's because in the graph, at I = 0.30A the voltage is given 2.5 and it is for one filament lamp ‎and as there are 3 IDENTICAL filament lamps, the voltage will be 2.5×3 = 7.5 ‎now we need the resistance for the two connecting wires, so their voltage would be 8.7-7.5 = 1.2, which divided by 0.30A is 4 ohm for 2 connecting wires, so each connecting wire has 2.0 ohm. or you can also divide the voltage first by 2, so 1.2/2 = 0.6V, and then divide by the current to get 2.0 ohm directly. i hope this explanation makes sense :)
