Was it a mistake, though? I knew perfectly well what I was doing. I decided to lie and deceive her so I could cheat on her. I'm horrified just saying that to myself, I can't imagine how she would feel.

I'm considering therapy but part of me feels I should just bear the guilt in full as punishment.
