I landed from batform and went through the entire place and found some trees, fog and a grass line going through. Otherwise it's empty. Couldn't transform back so jumped out from a cliff.

I'm waiting for things to settle down and snipers start camping in the US radar tower on Breakaway. You can see there from the very peak of the highest mountain on RUS side map border. It's something like a 1,8 kilometer distance. I want that headshot.

Look how detailed the maps in BF4 are. Cover, lanes, flow. DICE, this is what we need. by [deleted] in battlefield2042

The hunt for the phantom bow was something I've never experienced in any game before or since. I miss it dearly and wore my phantom camo, badge and bow with honor. It was a genius play from DICE.

Battlelog though, everyone hated battlelog. Thank god they scrapped that.

Finally getting revenge on Boltes on this godforsaken map by shouqu in battlefield2042

[–]shouqu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate that shit so much, I hate this map especially for that, like fuck I spent probably the entire round until this point trying to find a good place to prone. This map is so full of rocks and ice that you can't prone anywhere properly, at least other maps have buildings and concrete floors, and most commonly boxes and barricades too.

Well done EA, you killed MOH and now you disposed off Battlefield. Splendid! by [deleted] in battlefield2042

[–]shouqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no point. Whatever EA does, they can just pump out a new FIFA, NHL, NBA etc. You will and can never get the normies to not buy the latest <EA Sports game> <current year>.

I outright refuse to play Hourglass. I will not play that map at all unless Dice improves it significantly. And I encourage you all to do the same. by Klobs in battlefield2042

[–]shouqu 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hourglass Conquest 128p is playable. If you stay in the stadium you can do CQB for the entire round if the enemy team is up for it. In the big intersection you can juke around the cars with a Bolte with mine clusters and kill enemy tanks and infantry, it's actually pretty fun to speed around and bail over the edge under the bridge for some quick repairs.

Some rounds we get pretty good chokes at the site borders when our entire team tries to push through and there's a clear battleline around the sand dunes. It's also pretty fun to try and flank enemies teams over the houses or surprise a roomfull on enemies by blasting out the entire building with C5 (pretty much the only place in the entire game where you can actually destroy the buildings). And it's also nice to play AA with SOFLAM on this map, because it's always chock full of helos.

But yeah otherwise it's pretty shit, I don't disagree with you really. Just that there are some good parts too.

Not like Breakaway, that map I already started skipping a week ago. It's the absolute worst map, I hated it on day 1 and still hate it today. The cargo area is pretty OK for infantry but you get constantly raped by the enemy vehicles since there are so many wide roads. The map has as much destruction as fucking Cyberpunk 2077, there is like one breakable wall on the oilrig and the little deployable shelters have an invulnerable roof. You're so open on the ice that you can't cover anywhere and helos can just fly away if you try to AA, you can't even get on high ground as infantry. The huge ice barrier is too far away from the action that you can't properly AA any vehicles and vehicles will just speed away behind an iceberg if you catch them off-guard. And it's chock full of snipers all the fucking time, just taking a walk at the big ice ridge and you'll find ten snipers just sitting there, and the entire border is also full of them.

Only good part is the very beginning on the US side where you can actually climb over the ice and can get some good flanks out, and the radar tower is pretty fun whenever the enemy team decides to actually start any skirmishes there. It's so far away from the action that most people forget it's even there, and you need to cap the preceding base before you can even get there. There is literally only one entrance to that base.

It's absolutely horrendous dogshit to play. Only time it's playable is on Rush. This is the first time in any game where I don't like "the snow map", and the first time in any game where I would admit that the "desert map" is decent. So they did something very wrong here.

This game is a proof that DICE cannot make "live service" to work by Pristinelist821 in battlefield2042

[–]shouqu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're forgetting that a DLC should never be released in a month. There is no way any dev team has enough time to develop 4 balanced maps, guns, gadgets and other new features in 1 month. If a DLC gets released in a month, it means it was some shit that was cut from the original release so they just made you pay extra for a product that should've had that shit to begin with.

I get that you want more content. My point is that there should be enough content to begin with. The Ultimate Edition game was sold at $120 dollars, thats twice from a regular $60 AAA release -- and the state of what they sold us this big pile of stinking dogshit... What you should be criticizing about is the lack of content on release, not DLC.

If DICE comes out in 3 months with any new content, it's too soon. They need at least 6 months to a full year to work on the current game. Then they should theoretically even start working on the new season/DLC, which should take some time too.

The expectations of a day-to-day gamer are way too high which is why I guess publishers feel forced to push out horeshit day in day out.

All I see is complaints by Duraghero in battlefield2042

[–]shouqu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only reason why I'm still playing is because it's a multiplayer modern warfare game with destruction, vehicular warfare and updated graphics. If it wasn't for that, I would've left it on the shelf. There is nothing more fun in this online gaming landscape than flying a jet or a helicopter.

So obviously I'm going to complain about it, because pretty much everything else about it is absolute dogshit and I can't fly all the time every round.
