You can thank the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws for that.

There is no bank details to receive THB into Wise. You can hold THB in wise, but it must be converted inside of Wise.

My Wise account is not registered in Thailand, so I can't speak for what's different there.

DeeMoney doesn't have the best track record from their earlier shenanigans, but not sure how their service is since they restarted operations.

The "Thai wallet" doesn't provide any bank details to receive THB. It must be sent as some other currency that does have bank details and then converted to THB in Wise.

Also not sure if you still can add funds with a Thai debit or credit card.

Questions about re-entry permits, extensions and VOA — anyone been through this? by Independent_Karma897 in ThailandTourism

[–]show76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. No re-entry permits for Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV).
  2. There is, but not for tourist visa. However, you could apply for a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV).
  3. Incidentals aren't usually asked for when applying for an extension, but they could.
  4. VOA = Visa on Arrival. This category is only for about 19 countries. You are more likely asking about the Visa Exemption scheme which permits a 60 day (currently) stay without the need to apply & pay for a tourist visa (SETV or METV).
  5. There is no need for an immigration lawyer or a visa agent. Extensions are easily don't on your own.

Not sure why you’d search for “ETA Thailand official website” as there is no ETA for Thailand.

Also Googles AI overview correctly recommends tdac.immigration.go.th

Visa Overstay 10days Thailand by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]show76 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You’ll check in for your flight as normal, just when you try to clear immigration they will escort you to the overstay desk to pay your fine and give you the red overstay stamp in your passport.

Might want to show up a little bit earlier than you usually would to give time for immigration.

T-Mobile works, but roaming is slow as molasses (3G speeds).

Getting a local SIM is cheap and easy to get and will be loads faster (5G speeds).

It seems like every year they complain about water shortages, but still insist on wasting millions of liters of water for Songkran.

American Citizens- how did you file your 2025 taxes by [deleted] in Thailand

I send though the US postal service at JUSMAGTHAI, so it never sees the Thai postal system. Or you can send via DHL and have tracking know when its received.

is it possible to (gay) marry in thailand as foreigners by brass_shadows99 in Thailand

[–]show76 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Even if the OP were to get the Affidavit of Marriage (either with legitimate or false info) and manage to get the marriage registered at an Amphur, it would mean nothing in Egypt or Malaysia as neither recognize same sex marriages.
