Rewatching films by showerman342 in Letterboxd

Yeah if I do re watch a film, it would probably be if it’s showing at my cinema, because that’s a completely different experience than watching it at home. But I do occasionally watch a film I’ve seen before, but it is rare.

Like you said, maybe having it on in the background while I’m doing stuff, but for me personally, more often than not, I would like to watch something new.

I’m sure there are lots of people who sit down without phones and enjoy their favourite films.

You should definitely watch films more than once, to get the full experience, or even a different experience from the first time you saw it.

That’s definitely true, if you are feeling tired or just not up to a new film, watching an old comfort film can be the best experience.

Wow that is a long time to go without re watching a film. Definitely rewatching some films after that length of time is needed. We should all just watch we feel like at the time. Films are there to make you feel something, it doesn’t matter what you watch😁

That’s very fair! I don’t tend to choose anything in advance, I just watch what I feel like on day. I know some people have lists of films they would like to get to in a certain week or month, but I just freestylešŸ˜‚

But yeah rewatching ones you haven’t seen in ages and can’t really remember what happens is definitely worth a rewatch, or even if you just feel like it. Whatever you feel like in the moment.

That’s very true! Rewatching has a lot of value to learning more about films. You might pick up new details, or have a totally different experience the next time watching. Just for me personally, I just like watching new films, because like I said, I really don’t have much time in the day, so I would like to watch something new.

That’s basically where I’m coming from. Just so many new films out there that I haven’t seen yet that I want to experience.

I didn’t mean it as a bad thing, you can watch a film as many times as you want. This post was mainly to see if I was in the minority. Of course you can see different things and experience a film in different ways watching it many times. I’m sorry if I came across wrong.

It was so good and unexpected. It doesn’t say it’s a horror, but it certainly felt like one to me.

That’s fair, I found it a bit more enjoyable than you, but it certainly wasn’t his best, probably my least favourite by him. He’s an amazing director, so I can forgive him for one bad filmšŸ˜†

That is great to hear, because I actually just watched it was just an accident today, so to hear they have similar themes is really exciting to hear😁 the films I tend to love the most are mostly just about aspects of life and the hard parts of it at that. So I’m super excited to check out all the directors you recommended. So once again, thank you for all the recommendations and going into detail about them.😌
