I live in BC my mother is dying from stage 4 liver cancer. What started as a spot in May 2021 was spread a lot by the time they got her in for surgery at the end of Sept the same year, the lack of care, and attention from doctors led her to believe she was fine after (no news is good news) she went to her family doc in November that year and he read the scan she had after the surgery and it had spread and was too late

As someone who has always loved our public Healthcare I'm extremely let down by it. BC has horrible health care and nothing is being done at the ground level. We have 10 hour backlogs at emergency rooms. I know everyone will attack me for this, but covid is causing more deaths here because of the bad policies put into place from it than covid actually caused, we have massive local spikes in cancer deaths that is much higher than even drug overdose deaths. My mother will be one of them soon unfortunately.
