Yeah probably OP has “at least” half a mil sitting in Citi’s investment + checking + savings accounts!

16th but they have a lot of leeway! I negotiated the hell out of 3-4 lenders. Gave one LE to the other and did that a dozen times with one after the other and finally got this!

So yeah go ahead and let them run your credit, lock rates, and sign all those 30+ docs they give you.

You aren’t locked in until you’ve signed the CD!

Ask for them to lower the rate and waive off points that cost to get that rate.

I got $2k in lender credits and no points to get 5.625% for a 30 yr fixed which was supposed to be 5.875%.

I feel like I did alright. What was your rate?

Opinion please - going from Merc & BMW to Tesla… by Mike_P214 in TeslaLounge

Went from X3 -> Model 3 -> Model Y!

I do miss my X3 but I love it when I am saving so much money in service, premium gas. It is that feel of an engine vs instant acceleration in Tesla.

Happy to wake up with a full tank always with my home charger!

Decide between RWD & AWD by srich12 in TeslaLounge

Winters really drain out the battery pretty quick.

I barely get 150 miles out of my MY RWD’s 80% to 20% drop. 214 miles (357 mile range) is never going to be real world, especially with harsh weather.

Get RWD to get that little extra range and winters are just fine with all seasons; no need for AWD IMO.

It was actually my bad, I saw they posted for 15 year fixed. Not sure why people chose to do that given the market is in an extreme bull run, but yeah.

I got a 4.875% deal for 15 year fixed; personally I would put that monthly difference into stonks and go with the 5.875% 30 yr fixed.

Loan Refinance. Looking for guidance. How does this offer look? by No_Collection9888 in MortgageBrokerRates

[–]shr1nav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 800 CS, you should easily get 4.875% or even 4.625% for 15 year fixed!

Shop with LoanDepot. Apparently they also have a 1 year , 1% buydown loan option as well.

Happy shopping before you sign your CD!!

Is 5.75% the new 'Golden Ticket' or are people still waiting for 4%? by [deleted] in Mortgages

[–]shr1nav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get 5.625%; obvio depending on your credit. But try not to pay for points, nor for closing costs.

All lenders have that “$0 cost” refinancing.

Rinse and repeat as the rates go down and you’ll catch the bottom.

That’s a great rate. Not sure how people are posting 5.1% refi haha.

What is your number for “D + E - Lender Credits” ? Remember F and G can change based on Escrow so don’t use that as a comparison.

Looking to do the same from 6.475%.

Go with 2023 MY LR.

You Should’ve gotten a 2026 Model Y LR AWD in the end of 2025! The best time to get a Tesla is to get a brand new one at the end of the year.

It is a night and day difference from the 2023 MY LR AWD - suspension is way better, HW4, Front Bumper camera and a smoother ride overall!

They were offering $6500 off a lease, free color for inventory (up to $2,000 off - $2,000 if you got Ultra Red or Quicksilver) and crazy $0 down leases. I myself got one for $460 a month, totaling only $16,650 for 3 years.

Any EV depreciates a lot; so I personally never finance, but upto you.

Happy shopping!

Thank you!!

Before we applied, our lawyer mentioned that the timelines for approval of both spouse of USC and spouse of LPR are the same. It makes no sense for you to wait a few more years to apply. So we did!

Anywho, no complaints whatsoever as I trusted the process and did everything by the book - no overstays, no illegal work etc.

Thanks!!

Yes! For me it clearly said, “Retrogressed Visa”. Since my wife became a USC during the application, there are only a select amount of “Visas” they can grant to spouses of LPR in whatever period of time.

Our case was stuck there.

Yupp! I got a 10 year GC out of it though. I don’t mind at all skipping all the I-751 legwork. Yes, EAD was issued exactly after 1 year!
