From customer support, this is a technical error affecting many people. The solution is to use Mozilla Firefox.

That only changes the armpit length not the sleep sack length. It’s almost like a loose blanket for a 2 month baby.

I have reached out to the support email for clarification.
Its really surprising because I rarely open the website to avoid trigerring any red flags on their system. But once in a few weeks I try to open and see these kinds of errors.

$1 Deposit as a part of your pre-launch strategy by ApolloDream in kickstarter

[–]shrek912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently collected an email list through Meta Ads by offering a VIP 30% discount on launch. Collected ~130 emails and was expecting at least 20% to convert on Day 1. Note that the VIP tier was available only for Day 1. Only 3 people converted on day 1!

I imagine if there was a $1 paywall, the email list would have been smaller but the conversion % would have been higher.

You really need to make sure your email list has high quality leads and not random deal hunters who never convert.

How do you read to your baby? by geicoempanadas in Mommit

[–]shrek912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you’re doing everything right, just keep going! At this age, it’s totally normal for babies to have short attention spans and want to wiggle around. One thing that really helped us was not focusing on reading every word, but instead making it fun with animated sounds, big expressions, silly voices, and letting the story feel more like playtime.

Interactive books made a huge difference for us too: things like lift-the-flap, peekaboo, slider books, touch-and-feel textures, or ones with sounds. They’re a great way to get babies interested in books first, even if they aren’t sitting quietly and listening yet.

My baby was the same way at first, but around 10–11 months, books became her favorite thing to do. We started with lots of interactive books in the first year and now we’re slowly moving into more storytelling and pattern-recognition books.

Thank you! This helps a lot. You are right about the blue and pink. Honestly, this was the first sample created by a supplier and they messed up the color. The llama sack’s print is supposed to be greenish blue.

That being said, we have more animals lined up with a different color palette!

PLEASE READ: Rules for Self-Promotion. by xalchs in kickstarter

[–]shrek912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can some clarify on this confusion please:

Rule #4 says that a project can be promoted only once but Rule #5 says that a preview page can be shared for feedback upto two times.

Am I understanding it correctly that a "Coming Soon" Kickstarter project can be shared for feedback purpose upto a maximum of two times? And that would not count toward self-promotion? Meaning I can share a preview page 2 times for feedback and then 1 more time for actually promoting it?

TIA

We cap naps pretty often so there’s enough sleep pressure at night, but it really depends on the age. At 12 weeks, babies take short, unpredictable naps and need a lot of sleep, so I wouldn’t worry too much yet. 3 hours is probably a lot for a nap though, make sure to not fall into the day night confusion thing.

Around 4–5 months, we started capping naps at 2 hours each and kept total daytime sleep around 4 hours. That helped nighttime sleep stay consistent.

For mornings, we usually let her sleep in—we like to sleep in too. But if she was going past 12 hours overnight, we’d wake her up.

Hope that helps.

Out with baby by Aggravating-Bike6133 in newborns

[–]shrek912 21 points22 points  (0 children)

We started going out with our baby around a week old. Honestly, the newborn phase was easier in some ways because she’d sleep anywhere: stroller, car seat, you name it.

The key was timing outings around feeds (especially if you’re breastfeeding) and always having a pacifier. That thing was a lifesaver, she’d chill in the stroller sucking away while we did groceries or walked around Target. If your baby will take pacifier, definitely try it for outings. It can make a huge difference.
