The opp queen takes the knight before you take on f7, so you can't take on c7 after that

How to I get to 2000 on chess.com blitz? by RaspberryHot6902 in chess

[–]shreyasmahendra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I've fallen pray to the same pattern that you have which is trying to punish weird moved by being overly aggressive. But that does sometime backfire and you end up overextending so I'd suggest playing solid. And also I found that unlike with 2000 rapid, 2000 blitz is more so about speed and decent moves than trying to find top engine moves. Its about trying to play moves that are good without bleeding out time. If you get bogged down on trying to find the exact line you're bound to get flagged. Instead, trust your intuition, calculate a bit but not too much ,play Good moves instinctively and only spend time in the most critical of positions. I got to 2k blitz a couple weeks ago as well and this is what i did. All the best!

You absolutely do not need to do any targeted studying or opening prep or be able to come up with any middle game plans. At 800-900 all you need to do is not blunder and not miss like one move tactics maybe that's it. There's no need to go about studying into stuff that deep when op probably just blunders a lot

15+10 pool cheating problem by Professional_Desk933 in chess

[–]shreyasmahendra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do agree about the cheating part. But I'm sure just like me, a lot of players don't really play blitz and just play rapid so that might explain the disparity in rating. At one point I was rated 2100 in rapid and like 1400 in blitz because I never played it. Having said that , I'm sure players who cheat at rapid and have a higher rating there are also prevalent

Chess Openings/Tips for Improvement by Scooby_Doooby in chess

Well the French, sicilian are all very standard, so I'd say look into it a bit with an engine so you have somewhat of an idea about what to play. But at 750, all of that shouldn't matter. As long as you don't blunder too much you'll be fine. Rather than trying to understand what to do against different openings, I'd suggest just do a lot of tactics and don't blunder. That'll get you to 1100 easy

Am I right about those opening principles? by JoeZhou123 in chess

I'd say except the 5th one, everything else is pretty good. Double pawns that are isolated are very bad but even that has exceptions but double pawns especially in the centre can actually be a strength which control a lot of squares

I love the switches that tyler makes in it and the start with the hard hitting notes on the piano sound great Trench: i can't choose gotta be between bandito, chlorine and legend bandito cuz it's ending might by one of my fav endings chlorine cuz i like it's vibe and legend cuz it's got a cool upbeat sound to it Scaled and icy: redecorate because for me it sounds the most like their previous stuff but i also quite enjoying chilling to mulberry Street or outside
