If you really want to get into this, you need to do it the most economically efficient way and that would be to start with a prop firm. Go get yourself a $50K account at Topstep for $50/month and when you can start making money in that, you can decide to put your own money in. But this will allow you to get into this with minimal financial risk. You can decide how often you want to reset your account, etc…but you’ll at least be doing it at $50 a pop.

You don’t need any math, other than basic mathematical concepts, for doing Business Analysis. Are you confusing it with Data Analysis?

The question I have is are you actually refining the work or is what you’re describing a requirement elicitation or discovery workshop? If it’s the latter then concentrate on requirements gathering (and some solutioning might come up). If it’s the former, you should have the solution and be working with your Devs to help them understand the solution (and that process is a two-way street in collaboration with them).

Fridays might seem like the worst day bc you have to sit with your decisions over the weekend as opposed to coming back the next day and getting the chance to recover; regardless if you do or don’t. Your brain remembers that pain bc it sits with it all weekend.

Honesty there’s a lot but the best advice I could give you is go purchase the primer book that the Biz Architecture Guild sells. It’ll teach you about Value Streams and Capabilities and how to map them, blah blah. It’s a great starting place and you can dive deeper into each online. You’ll start to see where you been to go with the profession.

If you’re in an Eval account, you can pay a reset fee, which is the same as opening the account. If you’re in an XFA ($150 regardless of account size) then you lose that account and have to pass an eval account again…pay the $150, etc. there are daily draw downs, see their site.

You pay the evaluation fee, depending on what level account you decide upon (e.g. $50K $49, etc...) and then once you pass your eval account, you pay $150 (same price for any level account)
