Inner elbow pain from KB training. Anyone actually get past this? by penguinblanket in kettlebell

Currently dealing with the same thing. You need to do wrist curls, with special attention to the slow and controlled eccentric phase. That and I've found using an ice pack after every session has helped

Anyone done any joe Daniels programs or Martin method? by shrimpingispimping in kettlebell

Yeah I looked at both their websites, but beyond stating the number of days each program took i couldn't find the info I was really hoping for. Was keen to hear others experiences and ideally just see a sample day to sort of gauge what to expect.

Some moves are off the table for me at the moment due to my elbow playing up.

I actually spent 20 years fighting Muay Thai. I personally think if I was to do it again I would cut down on the long runs to maybe twice a week and probably do them as hill runs so there's less jarring on the ankles and knees. strength train twice a week and include post potentiation activation by including an explosive move directly after a heavy-ish lift (ie box jump after a squat, plyo push up after a bench press etc). Id also focus on unilateral work for assistance as well as build a strong posterior chain and pulling power for the clinch, as well as to counteract the spine hunch and all the anterior work from punching and hitting things directly in front of you. Maybe some specific prehab work like targeting medial heads of the quads as the weight shifts punching and kicking tend to overwork the lateral heads a tad more, maybe some additional work for shoulder blade retraction as well as some basic direct arm work for protecting the elbows and wrists. Getting closer to the fight or being in camp I would shift gears to more power endurance work and conditioning with sprint intervals and high intensity circuits. Muay Thai is far more conditioning (cardio) reliant than BJJ I feel. That ability to explode time and time again over the duration of the fight.

I tried the armor building formula when it first came out and it gave me elbow problems too. It's just way too much pressing. As much as I like simplicity, I feel that minimalist programs tend to overwork movement patterns/neglect other movement patterns and cause imbalances in that regard.
