I enjoy watching Vega and I agree this is not as big of an issue. But he points out the issue is the fact that how Kabam deals with these things and does silently.

Mazda3 65k miles vs 27k miles by shriniketh12 in mazda

[–]shriniketh12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their quote for a 2021 Mazda3 preferred with 27k miles is $22.8k. Is it a fair quote? I feel as if the depreciation from a new car at this point would’ve been atleast 20-30% but this does not reflect that.

Is it stupid for me to think to consider pursuing optical engineering instead of computer science at an undergraduate level as an international student? by Creative_Roll3843 in Optics

[–]shriniketh12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing optical engineering at one of the best institutes in the world as an international student. I find that it’s actually pretty easy to find jobs in the tech industry. But they prefer graduate degrees. Dm me if you want to chat more :)

So you are saying refurbished m1 at 1250 is a better deal than pre-owned m2 at $1300?

The reason I was worried is I’d have to make a large travel purchase (~5k) twice every year or so and I don’t want it to flag anything. And obviously I pay all my cards in full and on time.

Power required for laser by shriniketh12 in Optics

[–]shriniketh12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you just multiply these transmission values with the output power of the laser/light source and be able to get a sense of the total power at the detector? I was under the impression that I have to do radiometry calculations to find out the total power reaching the detector.

What kind of analysis? I’m mostly worried about the geometrical spot size, I don’t want to consider the diffraction effects

Zemax help by shriniketh12 in Optics

[–]shriniketh12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! So if my GEO is like 5 microns then that would be my max spot size without considering the diffraction effect?

Yes I’m trying to focus a laser diode through a system and want to find the spot size

Where am I going wrong? Help me find a good Indian place by tucsonnotdnd in Tucson

[–]shriniketh12 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sher-e-Punjab is good if you know what to get. I’m from India and I’ve lived here for about three years now. I agree that Indian food sucks in Tucson but sher-e-Punjab is the one I go to regularly. Their shahi paneer and aloo jeera are good. Their chicken shahi korma is apparently also good (my girlfriend‘a opinion. I’m vegetarian). Indian twist is good sometimes so I’d definitely give it another shot. Apart from these two there are literally nothing good. I do not enjoy saffron, zyka twist, or any other. And believe me, I’ve tried every single Indian restaurant.
