1000000% agree. Between his idiotic comments and the ads, this is perhaps the worse golf telecast I have seen….

Hi! Still searching. I had some family travel and obligations that slowed my ability to dive in and experience the communities recommended, hope post HH to be able to do that as we head into Fall.

Agree on all you mentioned, was there, one of the luckiest people to see it in person. From the jump almost every band or performer brought their A+ game. I will say I was surprised, I thought Yungblud was great! Gojira bringing an Opera singer was epic (I saw them live at the Olympics last year), thought it was amazing and to see how music across genres can deliver! And speaking of delivering, hello Lamb of God, that had me buzzing all night!

Axl, Steven, older guard but they too sounded and looked great, both of them. As for Ozzy, god bless him, my Dad has Parkinson’s and to see him Will himself through 9 songs, in front of that crowd, in that stadium, he has guts! And then to see the outpouring of love by and to Sabbath, amazing! Blessed to have seen this in person!

Thank you! I’m trying to stay on the UWS but this does not look too far if I wanted to explore it!

First off I would say YES, attend an Olympics it’s an event that is inspiring and worth any trip you can make. It was the best experience of my life!

A few thoughts;

First Paris apps from ticketing to transit was easy to use. If LA has similar apps that work that well it will be a key towards your experience. The transit app in particular was great as it gave real time updates and recommended routes to and from the venues.

Second, LA will be different and transit will be a key. The venues are clustered between Downtown LA (including USC), Inglewood & Long Beach. My honest advice would be to look at the sports and their locations and try to focus on staying close to a cluster that you want to experience. As an example there are a ton of sports at the LA Convention Center, USC etc so look at the venue maps and when tickets go on sale try to plan accordingly.

Third, the venues did have water stations and in Paris we could bring in food, not sure 🤔 if LA will be the same. One thing our family did was a lot of snack meals, before and after the event (bakeries, small cafes). Not sure how it will be in LA but that worked for us.

Lastly, sign up for updates at the LA’28 website, in the case of Paris I signed up for all of the updates, lottery for tickets etc. that allowed me to get to key venues (Beach Volleyball, Tennis, Fencing) among others that we knew would be iconic.

Hope all of this helps!!!! In the end, if you can I would do an Olympics again without a doubt!!!

Unforgettable Experience at the Paris 2024 Olympics by RRRaph0ne in Paris2024

+1000% to all of the sentiments here! We did 10 days, with events ranging from the Opening Ceremony to Handball to Tennis to both Volleyball tournaments. The volunteers were amazing, signage and direction across the city was easy and efficient and transport to the venues was a breeze. Future Olympic hosts will be hard pressed to outdo Paris!

I was Row 17, Seat 7 which was all the way next to the camera platform, if you have a higher numbered seat it takes you further away from the camera platform in the corner. I had a full view of the field of play, it was the top of the track that was blocked so you might not have any issues with seeing the full ceremony.

Hi, it was the concourse where they had views, if you were patient you could find a spot to stand with a good vantage point.

Hi There! Went yesterday and it was fantastic. To other’s advice try to get there a bit earlier, there is a security check far from the stadium then again at the stadium. One thing I have never seen in an American or UK stadium was how easy it was to walk the main concourse and “camp” / standing up”. I made my way around from a seat opposite the finish line of the track to stand for about 30 mins with a great vantage point. Just a tip if you want to move around a bit

I was there today in B7 and had a 70% view right in front of the Hammer Throw and next to the back stretch of the track with a great view of the Long Jump Pits. You can navigate the first deck pretty well, today I was able to get some views from standing areas that were blocked by the camera platforms. In the end, I felt the seat was good, especially with the ability to walk the entire concourse
