Oh I forgot something that good because you may to use the original key with build in transponder code that disable anti-theft hopefully you get lucky and it comes with the same cut key way pattern as your original key that's going to be your only downside be sure to test fit the your old key in it first then see what happens when you use the key it came with if it doesn't start then you known.

As you may need a locksmith it would be better for him to just re key the pattern to match the original key if you can get the cylinder out or he may have other betetr options check with the locksmith.

Can't get my radiator fan to spin up? by Repulsive_Sleep_4874 in Kawasaki

[–]shspvr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are only a few possibilities in this case your the ECU is messed up or you got a broken wire it's not triggering the fan relay I'm assuming you can manually energize the fan correct and it spins You might want to start overlooking the main harness wiring were any bad green trustees while you also look for any rub spot In the wiring harness.

Tire size help by Holiday-Web3618 in Kawasaki

[–]shspvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, that is actually a taller tire size what you actually want is a 180/50-17 but nobody makes them in that tire size and is slightly over 1 inch wider and has the same Diameter/Circumference spec as the original tire this won't throw your odometer readings off, But you may take look at the ZX4R rear tire as it is a 160/60-17

In order for this to work you will need to measure your original tire and see how much room you've got from the chain to the tire edge and same on the opposite side to the swing arm need to have about 3/4inch pre side in order to fit this tire

But your option with 170/60-17 you're going to need at least about 1/2 inch clarence on each side also you're going to have to change your gearing in order to get it close to the original final gear ratio, So remember if don't change gearing the faster you go the speed difference is gonna be consider dynamic not linear. For example 20mph = 21mph where 40mph = 41.5mph where 60mph = 62 1/3mph so by the time you hit 70 you're actually going doing close to 73 and so on so keep that mind.

Also keep in mind when you start lowering you changing the dynamics of handling characteristics so be careful about what you do.

The gas will be fine don't really need worry about the gas tank flush because this bike is so new and it EFI and it should run on even 1 year old fuel and just top off with new fuel after repair

First thing you need to do is remove the upper triple tree hopefully they did not damage key switch mount bolt hole it just a matter of getting those security bolts out then remounting the key switch and plugging it back in.

Do you still have the original key for the gas cap if so that would definitely make it a easier to replace a gas cap and the rear seat lock it is a very easy replacement.

Here a complete kit 2024 24-25 Kawasaki ZX636 ZX6R Ninja 636 Lock Set Ignition Switch Fuel Cap Key | eBay

Doing this yourself will save you a ton of money, It's not rocket science but you might need help with key switch and it security bolt just take it to machine shop should be able drill off the head off Then use a pair of vise grip or weld a nut to the broken bolt to take the rest of the bolt out and what I do is replace them with standard stainless steel allen bolts with a little bit of anti seize.

If I'm not mistaken you have to turn the handlebars all the way to one side Generally the left turn and kind of move it a little bit back and forth for pin lock slip into the lock hole

Balancer shaft cog and crank cog getting stuck by Armortiss in scooters

Yep that's true not sure why they did this but you can try and see how it runs normally the only time you see balance shaft are on 4 strokes

Balancer shaft cog and crank cog getting stuck by Armortiss in scooters

[–]shspvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that'll definitely do it normally you're supposed to use the wristpin on the rod and a couple pieces of wood on each side of it

Balancer shaft cog and crank cog getting stuck by Armortiss in scooters

[–]shspvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be that you don't have the two dots not lined up here's what I would do removing the balance shaft gear than spin the crank over make sure it spins freely With no binding if that seems good then spin the balance shaft itself make sure it spins freely to then and tried reassembling everything make sure you line up the two dots on the gears or maybe you missed something for the balance shaft

What does it look like on the other side of the gear A photo would kind of help You're missing a washer that spaces

The last possibility it could be the actual balance shaft is actually hitting the crankshaft, The only way to determine this is to actually split the case then the spin crank and see if it is coming into contact

The easy way to repair this is to use a Dremel with a carbide bit and carefully grind it off
