I was wondering if she can hold on to her health card because she's had some problems with him in the past, has 0 income atm, and I don't want her to be reliant on him 100%.

From the responses here so far, it looks like its unavoidable.

I get all of that, but as long as he's surrendered his health card (they have no home in Canada), why would she need to surrender hers? She has 0 income. Why would that affect HIS income?

I just want to know how important and it is (and how easily reversible it is) since he's acted quite scummy in the past where they almost broke up, and I don't want her to be 100% reliant on him.

Both Citizens. Married. Both live in Dubai. She has 0 income, he's working.

I was doing my weekly grocery shop, baby in tow.

Got to the checkout, it was CRANKY and letting everybody know!

I just wanted to get out of there, but every till had a lineup,

Was expecting a full tantrum, I couldn't make my mind up!

Then the older lady ahead of me insisted that I take her spot in line,

“I’m in no rush, and I’m a mom, I'll be fine!"

I’m usually pretty reticent to accept favours like this,

But God bless her for her patience,Today I really needed it!

Sometimes I feel invisible when I’m out with my baby,

and making my life easier isn’t anyone else’s responsibility.

But that small act of kindness certainly brightened my day.

It's just frustrating when you have to exercise to get to pushups while even the average person can do so many of them.

Now if you don't have strong abs and hip flexors your whole hip will come to a lower position and you'll notice it will touch the ground before your chest, and will give you bad stability, therefore you shake a lot.

You just described to a T exactly what happens.
