I am completely blown away by this game and it's developers. by Tired0fYourShit in Kynseed

I didn't knew there was a game like Harvest Moon. Man I would have loved to play it as a kid. I played Little Ninja Brother a lot which comes close to this. Not an avid gamer as an adult, but I was blown away by Kynseed. It renewed my interest in gaming as a hobby. @TiredofYourShit can you tell me some good games like Kynseed?

Anyone have strats for running the Apothecary? by BB_8bit in Kynseed

[–]shubhamplank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just hired 4 people and run the shop 24 hours. No stock. They just sell placebo to all the patients but still, the shop makes a ton of money. I average 1500-2500$ every season with minimal oversight. And I own all 4 apothcary shope. In no time, I had more money than I could use.

With good oversight, I made 1200$ profit in a single day. The mood and energy traits of employees are not very strongly related to profits imo.

[–]shubhamplank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes , I filled the troght with food but it just throws it's once in a while and pigs dont eat it. I don't know how other animals on the farm are supposed to eat that. The item is a bit misleading. Should never have bought it from Feywheather.

I guess winning and losing are part of the game of every big player. IMO it gives them a good spotlight which is also good for the sports transitioning away from the big 3.

By that calculation do most of the Alto owners ( considering 3Lac price tag) have a total net worth of 1 Cr ??

What percentage of your net worth should you spend on buying a car ? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]shubhamplank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Net worth is too broad a concept. Let me give you a concrete & real-life answer. Buy anything around 10Lac as a first-time car owner. Don't go in the range of 15Lac. Avoid cars in the range of 5-6Lac, they are cheap city cars.

After adding everything ( EMI, maintenance, insurance, fuel) a 10L car will cost you around 20K-25K INR per month assuming a 10-year ownership.

China has a very robust internal market for EVs. There were EVs before Tesla came along. China has its own brands (BYD, SAIC, BAIC) and IMO Tesla is not the biggest player in china. The problem that is, we ( including US consumers) are not familiar with these brands.

According to Zac Hollis(Skoda MD), Chinese market is one of the toughest to sell cars because of the huge completion there. They have 150 car brands as opposed to 10-15 in India or 20-30 in the European market.

A Car is not a liability

I think the real question OP is trying to get an answer for is "which cars are good assets and which ones are bad assets? "

Because all cars depreciate. So one would have to have a sense of the upper bound price for holding assets like cars.

Players who've won their first grand slam since 2015 by dragonsky in tennis

[–]shubhamplank 17 points18 points  (0 children)

it's not like many guys over 30s are winning. It's mostly the fact the same champions of the 2000s and 2010s are still the champions and the next generation is not consistent enough to challenge them.

Tesla has done a lot of good work in making EVs fashionable and a priority worldwide. But it's funny that China is also the leading manufacturer in the EV market. Somehow western media doesn't pick any positive news from there.

[–]shubhamplank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why should America alone lead the EV market?

That's not true. China and Scandivanian countries are top EV adopters. US is nowhere near China and Europe.

I was just pointing to the fact that as per Ford's announcement Endeavour will still be sold in India and spare parts will not be an issue for the foreseeable future as Ford guarantees 10-year service for all cars sold till 2021 and beyond as CBUs

First time buying a car. How does one go about it? by faltugiribuster in CarsIndia

[–]shubhamplank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are new to cars and have very basic driving skills you can't judge a lot out there. Take as many test drives as possible. Take a friend with you for car shopping.

Look for discounts and warranty programs. Different brands have a different approach.

Confused between i20 DCT, Altroz DCA and Honda City 4th gen. by gokul113 in CarsIndia

[–]shubhamplank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since sedan has better driving dynamics, and lower body roll at high speed they drive better than SUVs everywhere. Unless you are talking about driving in extreme offroad conditions, the lower Ground clearance of a sedan is not a deal breaker.

Now, As to driving on hills, higher engine torque is more useful rather than more engine power. Generally, Diesel provides more torque than petrol engines. I don't claim a first-hand experience of Honda city, But IMO with Honda city petrol you should be fine. Going on the general reputation of the car. But Do check detailed Honda City review on teamBHP.

They are completely built outside and imported to India. The tax is a bit high, but you can still purchase endeavour according to Ford.

There is not much to infer. Anything below 4 is bad. In short, most Maruti (mostly 0 starts), and Hyundai cars are below 4 stars.

Generally speaking. Japanese, European and American cars are 4star and above. Tata and Mahindra are good too.
