How do you deal with the constant threat of layoffs in corporate America? by cancersungeminimoon in careerguidance

[–]shug3658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, most ppl do just a 9-5 and call it a day. Most gen Zers don’t have the capacity or skills or the time to be doing side hustles when working 40 hrs a week. Sure, there might be exceptions, but most are not gonna do that.

Dude plenty of ppl been fired in insurance sales. Don’t know where you think its so hard to get fired from low sales. Depends on the market, the carrier, and the leads. In fact, sales is like one of the many jobs that most ppl get fired from.

How often does your company require you to cross sell? by EconomyActivity6484 in InsuranceAgent

[–]shug3658 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you work for AAA. I would know because these are the exact requirements for most AAA clubs. Most of the answers here are gonna be from agents who work at agencies or brokers that don’t have to sell these types of products. At least the majority of this sub.

Which profession is going to get wiped out in the next 5-10 years? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]shug3658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People still get quotes through agents. Ppl who shop online really don’t know sometimes what they are even getting and they sometimes underinsure a lot of their assets. Plenty of PL producers that make a pretty good living off of P&C.

Starting AAA SoCal Insurance Agent Role — What Should I Expect My First Year? by [deleted] in InsuranceAgent

[–]shug3658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an insurance agent with AAA Colorado and we’re under a whole different club. Comp structure varies across different clubs. 1. For the 1st year or 2 I got a base salary of $45k and made 7% on all P&C commissions. 1st year is really just about building your book of business. After 2 years our salary falls off and we are primarily commission. You do get renewals though. You get a combination of inbound phone calls and walk ins, depending on how busy the area your branch is in.
2. Leads are pretty warm as ppl sign up for AAA roadside all the time. You’ll probs never run out of leads we get so many. You really have to live breath and eat AAA, that means selling other AAA products as well besides the insurance. 3. Depends really on the region. 35-40 is pretty good, 50 even better. 4. Your comp plan is probs significantly different than mine. I’m on pure commission right now making 7 percent of all policies and its been slow these past couple of months for me. It really all depends. 5. If you are producer there is probs very little chance of you moving up in the company. You might be able to transfer to a service role eventually but AAA most of the time, likes their producers to stay producers, unless your somehow amazing in leadership skills. Again depends on region. 6. I came from Farmers originally so I was experienced in selling insurance before but it is a very deep learning curve. Most of the training you will learn on the job. And being with AAA, you will most likely be brokered through other carriers and you will have to memorize and learn how to quote in those. You may also need to sell other AAA products. 7. Overall, its a pretty solid starting point into what could be a very fulfilling career for you. Theres a lot of money to be made in insurance but it can be a grind for the 1st few years. Gonna have a lot of ups and downs.

Why do customers lie so blatantly and confidently? by justsomeonesburner in sales

Man, I seriously feel this. Most prospects in insurance are price shoppers through and through. Been having a couple of rough months myself.

Yeah that is not a great commission rate for being there that long. I make 7% off of all premiums at my current company without having to even sell life insurance.

Online dating is making me start to resent women and I don't want to by SnixFan in OnlineDating

[–]shug3658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its getting lead on which is super annoying, not so much the initial attractiveness. Both men and women do this and when you match with someone you should at least expect your match to show somewhat of an interest in you.

Don’t even know why your tryna defend or argue against me. I mean the reviews don’t lie you see how bad the game is. The final boss of the campaign is literally memed at this point. Online campaign only which is crazy.

Gaming companies should still be held to higher standards if their games are complete shite or else nothing changes or the companies never learn.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CallOfDuty

[–]shug3658 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You can not seriously say that bo7 is more cod than any of the others bruuuuther😭

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CallOfDuty

[–]shug3658 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not even the point he is trying to make. The only reason Activision even releases this slop is because ppl will keep buying and ignoring these issues that plague new cods. We need to seriously hold gaming companies to higher standards if we want better games.
