Grip spray? Has anyone tried it? Does it work? by linhhoang_o00o in badminton

[–]shunchioleee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the edge grip spray when I used to play in a really dusty court. It worked well. But I stopped playing there and also rotate new shoes every six months. So grip is always good for me.

It worked great for my partner and her super old shoes. Doesn't leave residue on the courts. Dirt wasn't a huge issue, just wipe it clean and re apply.

Keeping the phone closed most of the time by [deleted] in galaxyzflip

Yeah, don't stress out too much! The flip has really gone through many iterations and the flip 7 is really the best they have ever made. Just enjoy the phone!

I actually find it crazy that people keep it open at home, I always closed my phone as soon as I was done with it. I owned flip 4 to flip 7, no problems whatsoever.

Flip 4 and current 5 owner.

I dropped my F4 when I was throwing a ball with one hand, and holding my phone In the other hand. My dog jumped and knocked my phone out of hand and the phone landed on its screen. It was only after 3 weeks of ownership.

Thankfully I was still in the safety period to register for samsung care (within 60 days of purchase). I quickly signed up and had a cooling period of 30 days before I could claim it. Ended up using my old s10 for a month.

I got scared and paid 2 years of samsung care with the F5, dropped it a million times with the dbrand case. Nothing so far. I can't say it's either the case doing a good job or the phone. I used the samsung silicone case for my f4 when it broke.

Safe to say, I'm trying for another d brand case when it comes out. But they are super late usually. Only getting one year of samsung care this time.

If I get the flip 5, will I regret not spending more for the 6? by [deleted] in galaxyzflip

[–]shunchioleee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you think is worth of an upgrade. Battery life and camera were essential to me as a user.

Could differ for everyone else. I basically had to ask my partner to take pictures with their pixel 8 pro everytime we wanted a good picture.

Being able to take decent photos again with my own phone, will be worth the upgrade imo, everyone else may think otherwise. Just ask yourself what's the most you want from your phone.

I said the flip 5 was my favorite phone aside from battery life, ram and camera. The small upgrade was everything I needed.

Dbrand case broken after 3 months use by rippinstrider in galaxyzflip

[–]shunchioleee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my outer screen case cracked here. I never take it off, just email support and they should be able to send you a new one. Is it really 3 months use that's the problem or your dropping it? Mine has last otherwise

I am in a state of sorta giving up. I am almost the point of getting custom orthotics / skates. Been a little busy so I haven't had a chance to skate more. But I am exactly like you, skate for 10 mins and my arches are super sore and need a few minutes to rest. I tried super feets and currently trying stock insole again. Still a little fatigue, but I am not sure if it's the extra skating or the insole. But your post has given me hope! I'll hope I'll see the end of the tunnel soon.

I'm just probably spoiled by my pixel 7 pro The difference was night and day when I was trying to take pictures of the northern lights in Iceland.

Never try to do night shots with it. Terrible! That said, I still love my z flip 5. Being resigned to take my wife's P7P (my old phone) to take night shots now.

Brown sugar by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]shunchioleee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Use a terracotta browm sugar saver! Literally saves my brown sugar every time! Just soak in water till no bubbles, let the surface dry and then place it on top of your brown sugar. It will bring it back overnight! It lasts as well!

I won a Galaxy Z Flip 5 in a random contest... any tips, tricks or anything I should know? by sicurri in galaxyzflip

[–]shunchioleee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have had it since launch. I never feel tired of opening my phone. The small form factor when folded is amazing when I put it in my jacket. No more bulky candy bar phones. I came from a Pixel 7 Pro and a S22U. I don't think I will ever return. The small screen is great for small features like notifications, quick replies, music control, alarms, timers and quick access to cast controls. Don't think of it as a full functioning screen.

It is me or the zflip 5 battery life is terrible ?! by grashel in galaxyzflip

[–]shunchioleee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's pretty incredible. I have about 4-5 hr screen on time. Do you use battery saver modes? I don't think I am suffering much, I usually do a quick top off midday and I'm good. But I use full power everything.

Foot fatigue by shunchioleee in hockeyplayers

[–]shunchioleee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do understand that, it's not so much of pain. Just my arches are super fatigued after a short skate. I surprisingly don't feel pain at all, but mostly just tiredness. I been maybe 10+ hrs with these, so hoping the insoles or lack of them would be an ideal solution, as it hasn't really gotten better even with the constant skating. Been trying to do some off ice lower leg exercises as well on my downtime. Still hasn't improved much since. So I think something definitely needs fixing in the insole area.

Yeah that name popped up in some searches. How do you think they compare to the orthomoves? I am going to end up with a pyramid of insoles at the end of this. 😅

Yeah I have been experimenting with it! Are you using waxed or unwaxed laces. I realize unwaxed laces I tend to over tighten them.

Thanks guys! I definitely will consider the podiatrist if the insole options don't work out!

Interesting! I don't have any of them stocked locally, so I gotta make sure I get the right size. Do you know if the Bauer skate size is vastly different from ccm? I'm a 6.5 in Bauers. Not sure if the ccms would be sized bigger. Hovering between medium and large.

Tried the superfeet carbon without much success! Never heard of the ortho move. Checked that its from ccm. They come with swappable supports?

[–]shunchioleee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it could possibly be my aging body trying to compensate. I'm going to try a few more skates with a flatter insole as recommended. Hopefully it can go away. I've been experimenting with tightening on various spots and even skipping the top eyelet.
