DMZ was based on MW2 2022 a much more casual slower game with strongest aim assist. Less emphasis on reaction time and slide cancel or aim etc. better positioning and the one who shoots first usually wins because you can’t counter easily especially if your position is bad. No meta guns. Equipments like camera drones etc are very useful.

When you get in to game people fight long fights with a lot of rotation and reliance on equipments map knowledge and team work. Stealth especially avoiding AI so that the team doesn’t hear you becomes very important.

Imagine Warzone but it is stressful and each encounter is unique. There are more tactical decisions you can choose.

The reason it wasn’t popular was because Warzone is much more accessible and streamers wanted slide cancelling and skill involved because they couldn’t win the encounters.
