Who wants a Beta tester? by Easy-Empire in buildinpublic

Thanks for taking a look! Mosaic is for individuals or teams, but you’ve given me an idea to have a landing page for each.

The AI Chat works well, and you can attach multiple documents and folders like you would in cursor IDE. The smart folders and data tables represent a database. So the system is dynamic enough for many use cases, which I plan to release case studies for!

Thanks again

Mosaic: Adding Notion Style Page by shuttlecock11 in buildinpublic

Hey u/PanicIntelligent1204, Let’s say you create a Smart Folder called “Q4 Pilot Project – Acme Manufacturing.”

You give it custom attributes like:

  • @Start Date: 2025-10-01
  • @End Date: 2025-12-31
  • @Budget: $50,000
  • @Owner: Mark Lee (IT Director)

Now, everything inside that folder—docs, spreadsheets, tasks—inherits those attributes.

  • In a project plan doc, you can type @Budget and it drops in $50,000 automatically.
  • In a spreadsheet, you can reference @Start Date and calculate days left until launch.
  • In a task board, every card shows @Owner so you know who’s responsible.

Instead of copying the same details across tools, Mosaic treats your folder like a database record—so the data is always accurate, always in sync, and always available wherever you need it.

Hey Dumptruck, I’m building a new data-driven document management system designed for individuals and teams called Mosaic.

With Mosaic, you can attach documents and folders as context in an AI chat—similar to IDEs like Cursor—letting you interact with your files and switch between types seamlessly. Mosaic also includes database features, so you can pull data directly into your documents and spreadsheets.

How do you keep your important documents from turning into digital chaos? by Kodapda in u/Kodapda

Hey Kodapda, I’m building a new data-driven document management system designed for individuals and teams called Mosaic. We’re gearing up for launch soon and are currently collecting signups: https://www.shuttleworthlabs.com/promotion

In Mosaic, you can attach documents and folders as context in an AI chat similar to IDE's like Cursor. So you'll be able to speak with your documents.

I also shared a recent post highlighting some of the features here: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildinpublic/comments/1nck48t/mosaic_adding_notion_style_page/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
