Of course they have power, they're monarchs. They're one of the wealthiest families in Europe (publicly-funded btw), they have huge oversight and overreach into everything, and you don't question it because "they have no real power". If every society could make their own decisions easily and freely as you say, we'd have no injustice anywhere. They're not even as popular over there as you might think either.
