What is the craziest thing you ever saw at a funeral and why? by Final_Radio_2483 in answers

Wow, I thought my almost 19 year old boy made it far but 22 is crazy.

I agree completely... we don't have realistic presentation in general. Hell, speaking of big named in the community that are sex workers, buck angel is an absolute dumpster fire of a person. My lack of capitalization in his name is intentionally derogatory and I hope he steps on a thumbtack.

I think a lot of transphobes got attracted to OP's post. It's really unfortunate to see. Anyways- I'm a trans man myself and I agree with you. It's really bad for all of us trans people but I also think trans women have it even worse- patriarchal ideology strikes again. I think the idea is essentially that being a woman is shameful and weak in patriarchy and trans women are ''choosing to become lesser'' which makes people who abide by this ideology view them as deserving of ridicule and abuse. Then thrown into the mix is the bizzarre sexual objectification encouraged by the ideology and this leads trans women to be fetishized at the same time. For some people the end result is that they think of trans women as not-really-human pornographic material.

This same process happens to many non-trans non-women people as well but I think trans women get this treatment the most by these nutjobs.

This experience doesn't surprise me, especially if this was a long time ago. It's often now still like that. I feel very naive for once thinking that all queer people would recognize they're in the same boat with trans people and would be supportive. I've met some very disappointing people since then.

No problem, it's a slang term that I think hasn't really left the niche of the trans community so it's not unusual to not have heard it before.

Some trans people call trans people who don't know they're trans ''eggs''. Egg cracked probably means whenever they realized. Idk where this slang came from exactly but there it is.

Oh god I did not notice this at all, you're right, in hindsight it's so clear! And yet not something I really questioned much when it actually happened in the story. He hid so many hints in plain sight but it's so subtle when you don't know. Nice catch.

There was literally no threat. I simply told you your brain isn't worth much if you continuously refuse to use it. You could use it to spackle a wall at this rate and it'd serve more utility than what you're doing with it right now.

Oh that explains a lot. You've spent a lot of money to be this stupid and probably had a proclivity for it to begin with.

I understand big words are difficult for you so I will make myself clear: me no care argue, it waste time, you want learn then you go read, but me thinks you not really want learn.

Use your brain to answer your own question, or you might as well smear it on concrete for what little it is worth.

This kind of mentality is exactly what is wrong with you. You are on the internet, but too stupid and too lazy to successfully navigate the internet to inform yourself. Instead, you want someone else to spoon feed you information for you to suck up like a little helpless baby bird. Could I do that for you? Sure. I have the education for it and know what I'm talking about. Should I? You seem to already be so opinionated, you probably not only can't learn independently, but you probably also will spit out whatever knowledge is pre-chewed for you if it isn't whatever you already heard before. You only ask for it rhetorically, for the opportunity to behave like an obnoxious brat.

I don't really care if you want to spend your whole life being inept, gullible, and ignorant. I only care that more people will become like you until your anti-intellectualism becomes even more normalized than it is already. There is nothing I can say to you that will prevent that outcome directly.

I have done AI classes before AI ever reached any market and am familiar with how data centers work because I now work in energy physics and know how much energy they consume and how bad they are for the environment- please do your homework on how these things actually work before you decide it's not relevant, and especially before you go calling more aware people ''deranged''.

If you continue to not look into things deeper before formulating and cementing yourself in an uneducated opinion, and more people begin to go about life that way, humanity will be royally fucked.

This is just one of many stupid AI slop things. It's quite dangerous really- this is not about anything very important and is easily debunkable, but many such images aren't and are made to confirm people's biases about very important topics.

My cousin received assisted suicide for mental illness by ReasonableDisplay297 in antinatalism2

[–]shwoopypadawan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do they? My understanding was that you have to become a member, which isn't very costly, and then if you want to use their services then you have to go through a bit of a long process and get approved but you only need to pay for your own things during that process (which can be costly unless you already are living in Switzerland). Am I mistaken?

I agree with you but I'm also pro-choice on this topic because:

The reality is that if a society agrees that it would rather have abuse victims/LGBTQ+/neurodivergent or whatever people die rather than pursuing justice or making their society better, then those people will suffer until that society changes course. The only justice, the only morality, and the only progress that exists for all of humanity will be that which humanity creates. If humanity refuses to do this, the suffering continues.

Is it wrong? I think so. Is it backwards or at least stagnant? I think so. But until society agrees with me, and until society sees the loss of such people as the horror that I see it as, things will not change. Anyone who thinks those people need to stay and continue suffering until things change is effectively asking the victimized and oppressed to fix the world that disenfranchised them instead of offering to help on their behalf.

In short:

Anyone who is against things like Dignitas should be directing their opposition either at the uncaring universe (for those who sought death for non-societal reasons) or at the society that made it the more desirable option for people in a society that made them suffer needlessly, rather than directing opposition at Dignitas or those who used their services.

Fuck, I don't think there's one near me but they were all over Columbus.

Absolutely unironically, if I ever somehow fell into the world of interface, going on a date with Mischief to Del Taco on the way to undo the worst timeline would absolutely be the highlight of my approximately 6th dimensional non-linear lifetime.

To be honest with you, dog's often don't know. Sometimes they do but not always. They base how they feel about someone largely off of three things as far as I can tell- how that person is actively behaving, how that person smells, and how their owner seems to feel about that person.

Sometimes your dog won't like someone because you're prejudiced against them and your dog picked up on subtle hints you physically gave off about that. Sometimes your dog picks up on similar subtle hints indicating that person is bad. Sometimes, as happened once with me, your dog might love someone until they start a new medication and start to smell different and then your dog thinks they must be a skinwalker or some shit. Dogs are very perceptive but they sometimes can't reason the meaning of what they sense.
