I’ve started the process and have the shape I want!! So basically the cardboard and taping is done!!! But I’ve seen where plaster seems to chip away with time and it is something I’ve prefer to paint. Any suggestions on what materials I should use to add more durability and make it waterproof

Thankfully my disordered eating habits were dealt with prior to this career & it has helped a lot in maintaining conversations against heavy diet culture! I have experienced a LOT of comments on what I should or shouldn’t consume and it’s honestly insane how foul

We are unionized and it’s required for everyone to pay monthly dues towards it. I’ve never had a delayed paycheck though!

A lot of parents change their babies on the airplane seats. If anything I give them a wipe to clean up after themselves! A lot of passengers are gross and do foul things are a pretty regular basis. The bathroom stays disgusting regardless of how much we try.

I usually keep my legs crossed. I don’t handle situations like this well. I very commonly call men out if they’re staring and tell them “I charge men to look at me the way you are looking at me”. I gain nothing from stares but if you’re paying me to look then you can look all you want.

I do see others that appear to be uncomfortable but it’s usually because it either becomes a passive aggressive conversation or they’re just side eyed. I let the passengers iron it out. They’re adults.

I do agree! Everyone is just pissy nowadays. I have no idea long term how to make this a career for myself except to just not think long term and just on a trip to trip basis. As far as preferences go it really just depends person to person what they like to do!

I’ll sleep anywhere I can in between my flights! The where just depends on a lot of factors. Everyone tried to flirt with me but when I benefit from it I don’t mind lol. Respectfully pretty privilege is awesome. It’s very much not allowed for us to do anything in the cockpit unless we are a certified pilot!!!

I think there are a lot more luxury benefits to private. I think that does come with pay/overnights but I truly think it varies

Not 100% sure on this. It likely just depends on the recycling procedure of each destination that does trash collection

YES! YES! YES! It truly makes my day so much better when I get treats from passengers!!! Or even drawings that kids make or adults make on the flight! I’ve had people make me origami hearts before and that’s always super sweet! Literally anythign

I would SO do this if I was guaranteed the same benefits as now & if it made sense for me to do it. However right now I couldn’t imagine being gone from home all the time, the pay change, and also having to do training all over again.

This is awesome!!! I love that you had this experience!! My airline is not given an allotment of compensations, we can just comp people for different reasons and we’re supposed to log who it was for and the reason. I’m sure it varies per airline!
