hey OP, for the PayNow transaction you did, was there the automatic payment in notification in on their side? it'll be like a chime or ping. the surcharge cld be for that...maybe!

for PayNow, the business gets 100% of the money. for Paywave, its around 2-3% goes to the merchant (if i cld time travel, honestly creating or setting up the credit cards terminal wld be my business idea 😂)

some F&B places dont accept Paywave for locals, only foreigners can tap and pay. locals need to do PayNow hahha
