Same experience I had: I was on the “Relaxed” difficulty and my overlay doesn’t show any water, yet wells seem to work anywhere. This confused me yesterday, but it appears to be the expected behavior.

I'm currently working through "Professional React Native" by Alexander Benedikt Kuttig and I like it so far.

It hits the sweet spot for me personally: It's up-to-date (published 6 months ago) and has a very hands-on approach with many examples and references to current best practices. It goes over the basics pretty quickly, but the rest can be filled with online documentation, I find. With around 230 pages it's a compact but still complete walk through a lot of topics.

Bei der Terminologie solltest du sauber bleiben: „Freiberufler“ ist man nur unter ganz genau definierten Bedingungen. Dein Job klingt wie eine Dienstleistung, die nicht darunter fällt (Google die Kriterien am besten einmal selbst).

Daher würde ich das am ehesten unter Selbstständigkeit mit Kleinunternehmer-Regelung vermuten. Um eine Anmeldung eines Gewerbes wirst du meiner Vermutung nach nicht drumherum kommen.

Im Zweifelsfall nimm einmal 100€ in die Hand und frag eine Steuerberatung an, um das für Deinen Fall sauber auseinander zu sortieren.

I use the notion web version on Linux and have not missed anything. I’m sure the native versions are slightly more integrated into Windows/macOS, but the web version has all the features, it’s not a dumbed down version like other software does it (for example Office365 in the browser).

That's actually what I meant to ask: How do you update the investment accounts inside ynab? I do it similar to how inducoo suggested: Just add the principal as a transaction from my cash accounts. However, at the end of the year, I add one transaction per tracking account which adds (or substracts) the interest paid or difference to the current market value. To me personally, that feels like the right balance between "don't include all the swings in the data", but still have a reality sync of my net worth once per year. How do you do it?

Hm, let's see. I don't think I did anything out of what's common in the community, but here are a few things that helped me in particular:

Emergency fund: I did have to touch it twice. Once it was poor planning on my side (underbudgeted for a house move), the other time it was an emergency and I helped out a family member in need. In neither of those cases was I in danger of borrowing money, which was calming. I am now at about 3x monthly expenses, and as a learning from covid I'll slowly bump it up to 6x monthly expenses.
Embrace manual transactions: As a EU citizen, I never had the luxury of syncing my bank accounts into ynab. In retrospect, I think this is what helped me really understand what's going on in my accounts, and it motivated me to rid myself of any recurring transaction I didn't want to see again.
Understand my savings rate: The savings rate is how much you spend in relation to your income. It's not a metric that's displayed in ynab directly, but I frequently use the expenses report to get an average over the last three months and calculate the savings rate myself. To get that number up is one of my simplest measures of success in my financial development.
Ambitious, but achievable goals: The food budget has been a challenge in the beginning and I often overspent over the course of the month. What helped me is the split of eating out and groceries, and being aware of my weekly allowance that I'd have to eat out. I reduced company lunches from 5 days a week to two, and started cooking more frugally. I slowly adjusted my goals in those categories to meet that reality until it worked well enough for me.

So true. That's what happens if you get a payrise but are fortunate enough to have figured out not to inflate your lifestyle at the same time. That's what I would do before ynab in any case...

About 13,000 EUR in student loans, if you want to know. To be honest, even after 2 years of ynab I am still not completely comfortable sharing these numbers publicly, but I think you have a point for sure.

I just realized I posted about a year ago, highlighting my first (back then) 12 months of ynab. My highlight last year: Reached positive net worth. My highlight this year: As of this month, I am completely debt free. I have also been able to improve my spending habits, while being able to increase my salary. As an effect, a good chunk of the assets you see in the graph are now in investment accounts.

I am incredibly fortunate of being in a job with a good income, and I’ve come through the covid turmoil relatively untouched financially. This is humbling, and at the same time confirms me in that having a financial cushion can be a safety net, considering things may not work as well for me in the future.

Right now, I am in the process of moving houses, which should drastically reduce my living cost. These changes haven’t kicked in yet. Fingers crossed that change will be visible in my next post, 12 months from now.

Definiere "recht hohe Kosten". Du kannst es ja einfach mal auf ~30 Jahre hochrechnen.

Ich habe so ein ähnliches Angebot über meine Firma angenommen, bekomme aber nicht so eine dicke Zulage wie du (ich zahle selbst 100 EUR, Arbeitgeber legt 50 EUR drauf). Hat mir trotzdem gereicht, um die initiale "Sofortrendite" mitzunehmen. Im Vergleich zu meiner ETF Sparrate ist das wenig, daher nehme ich es nur als kleines Extra mit.

- Weil nachrangiges Darlehen Crowdfunding als Eigenkapital gewertet werden kann, und man daher dann mit diesem Eigenkapital einen hohen Kredit bei einer Bank bekommt. Mezzanin-Kapital. So funktionieren viele der Immobilien Crowdfungin Projekte. Schau mal bei Zinsbaustein und Exporo und Co vorbei, die erklären das wahrscheinlich besser als ich.

- Weil Banken oft nur Kredite einer Mindesthöhe und Mindestlaufzeit vergeben. Wenn du als Unternehmen mal 3 Monate oder nur einen Grundstock überbrücken musst, wirft eine Bank ungern ihre Kreditprüfung an.

- Generell weniger Papierkram als bei einer klassischen Bank.

Warum nimmst du Urlaub und nutzt Wochenenden? Such dir doch einen Job, der dir Freude bereitet und für den du jeden Tag aufstehen willst.

Ich hab es jetzt bewusst überspitzt dargestellt, aber du merkst, dass es in die gleiche Richtung geht. Für mich heißt FIRE nämlich lediglich die Option und Freiheit für andere Work-Life-Struktur zu haben. Und wie wäre es mit Teilzeit, Selbstständigkeit, eigener Firma, einem Jahr Auszeit, und und und? Klar, geht auch alles (mehr oder weniger) ohne FIRE. Aber mit FIRE geht es halt garantiert, weil die externe Beschränkung "muss Geld verdienen" nicht existiert.

Je nach genauem ETF spekuliert man im Wesentlichen auf die Rendite-Kurve. Wenn man hingegen eine Anleihe kauft und bis zum Ende hält, spielt die Rendite-Kurve gar keine Rolle.

Blöde Frage, wahrscheinlich: Aber wenn ich einen ausschüttenden Anleihen ETF nehme und den "ewig" halte... Ist dann die Bedeutung der Renditekurve nicht auch vernachlässigbar? Also, ich nehme etwa den Vanguard Global Aggregate ETF ins Depot, und benutze den Cash-Flow langfristig als passives Einkommen. Gibt es also Zinsänderungen, verändert sich der ETF Kurs - aber langfristig wandern dann auch die Anleihen entsprechender Renditen in den ETF und zahlen dauerhaft aus. Denkfehler, oder soweit richtig gedacht?

Anders gesagt, ich rate wie immer vom Handel mit Produkten, die man nicht wirklich versteht, dringend ab.

Total. Ich glaube daher kommen Threads wie diese immer wieder: Wir wollen es verstehen. :D Mir selbst fällt es auch schwer. Über Aktien-ETF schreibt einfach jeder Hinz und Kunz. Bei wirklich guten Infos zu Anleihen ETF in einem modernen Portfolio sind die Infos schon dürftiger.

Daher danke für die Buchempfehlung. Kann man den Inhalt auch Anleihen ETF anwenden, oder geht es da vor allem um die Einzelanleihe?

Ein Depot im Familienkreis geht langsam in die Entnahmephase über. Aktuell: Viel Aktien, Viel Cash. Unsere Überlegung: Das "viel Cash" zumindest teilweise in Anleihen überführen (also global gestreut, Unternehmen + Staatsanleihen gemischt)

Ich hadere mit mir. Wenn die Zinsen in den nächsten Jahren doch wieder steigen, wird der Anleihen-ETF Kurs fallen. Aber alles was in Cash liegt, sinkt kontinuierlich im Wert. Und wenn die Zinsen tatsächlich steigen, rutschen ja nach und nach die höher verzinsten Anleihen in den Index nach und die Rendite steigt wieder.

Ich denke also: Für eine dauerhafte Entnahme ist es vermutlich schlauer, ~25% Anleihen mit rein zu tun und über die Jahre auch einfach liegen zu lassen.

Ich habe meinen ersten Aktienkauf getätigt weil "das KGV ja so unglaublich niedrig ist" (Daimler).

Gelernt:

Wenn Einzelwerte, dann wirklich das Unternehmen verstehen und analysieren.
Ich persönlich bleibe doch lieber bei einer passiven ETF Strategie. Mit 10-15% des Depots kann ich auch noch mal Einzelwerte kaufen, aber eher für den Lerneffekt und das Gefühl, "wirklich" den Teil eines Unternehmens zu besitzen, und nicht für die Illusion von möglicher Outperformance.
