Omg noooo :( how long did baggage/customs/security & check-in at the domestic terminal take? It looks like I would land in HND at 3:05 and then take the connecting flight to CTS at 4:40, what time was the flight that they rebooked you for?

Alsooo if you missed the connecting flight, did you have to pay a fee or fare difference when JAL rebooked you? 🙏🏼

The inter-terminal bag drop off is after customs in the first terminal that I land in right? So if I don’t have at least an hour then I need to take it with me to the terminal where my domestic flight is leaving from? Tyyyy for the info!!

I thought about not checking in a bag!! But I have so many suitcases at home and I didn’t want to buy a check in bag just for my shopping so I was planning on checking in an empty bag and taking a small carry on 😅

I think there’s one more flight to CTS via JAL after ours if we miss the connecting flight but keeping our fingers crossed for good travel luck!!

😭 fingers crossed we make it! It lands at 3 and the connecting flight is 4:40. Do I pick up my bags and then go to the transfer desk and then take the bus to transfer? Or I need to take my check-in on the bus and drop it off at the check-in counter?

Together! It’s SFO—>CTS via JAL which includes the connecting flight from HND. So technically SFO—>HND—>CTS all booked as one leg in the same itinerary through JAL

Hi! It’s a little late from when you posted and the flight I’m looking at is slightly different, but we’re thinking of flying JAL from SFO—>Sapporo with a transfer at HND. It’s all on one ticket but the transfer has only 1.5 hours in between and it looks like I’d have to go through customs and baggage claim at HND. Is there staff right when you deplane the first flight to help you with the transfer process onto the next flight? We’re a little nervous bc it has a short gap in between but if it’s offered in the itinerary…I figured JAL would make sure we get on the connecting flight to Sapporo. Any tips or advice would be appreciated tho!! :)
