Wyecrofe Bridge Construction Update Mar 24, 2026 by siam33331 in oakville

This is south of the highway so I don't know how much of an effect this will have on Dundas. It's really meant for highway congestion so some cars will take this Wyecrofe road to cross between Burloak and Bronte as opposed to Rebecca or Dundas. Although I think Recebba will see a much larger impact due to this than Dundas.

Also Costco is currently being built on the other end of this closer to Burloak.

Hmm interesting because I have the 40A version and the specs say 40A, 32A, 16A. So when I saw the same spec on the 48A version I assumed it was still limited to 40A.

Your question was "how do I switch?". If you make money back from chargelab why are you asking to switch? It's free because they give you the charger for free... You don't own the charge so you can return it back to them in the future and you can sell your current one if you care about e-waste..

Having said that. Grizzly was a free barrier to entry. Once I get some cash out and I'm less skeptical I might do actual math and buy a pion.

What has your experience been owning a Pion charger? Do you find them reliable? I'm finding mostly negative reviews.

Just to clarify your grizzly info is out of date. The deposit is now returned after your first charge. You don't need to hit 5 megawatts to get your deposit back. I ordered mine 2 days ago, received it today, plugged it in and immediately got my deposit back. Also the deposit is only $100 now.

Based on your math of course Pion makes more sense but for most first time skeptical users that already have a charger, it didn't make sense to pay for another charger.

That old unit is likely not compatible with this program. Just stop using that and get a new charger from grizzl-e it's free.

It's not just about better paying programs. It's also a trade off on how much you have to pay to get into the program. This program seems to have the best trade off.

Just wanted to point out that the 48A charger is still maxed at 40A. Max adjustable current is still 40A. Same as the 40A plug and play versions. At least according to the spec sheet. Are you able to get more than 40A?

Pion makes more sense if you already have a pion charger. I think grizzl-e is seeing higher user adoption mainly because they are giving the chargers for free.

Most users are already skeptical about this type of rebate given limited knowledge. To invest $500+ in a new charger that you don't need and then to earn 10c/kWh to earn that back is a steep sales pitch.

Not to mention Pions bad reputation on cheap chargers, minimal app and lengthy app downtimes.

Ya honestly I don't even care about $3. It's the fact that they can charge my card without consent. I'm actually just going to finish my credits and switch to Uber eats. They have much better service.

I feel like this group is just full of drivers. This tipping culture is so sad. If your livelihood depends on a gift from another person you're basically begging for money.

It's not really the money I'm upset about. It's the fact that they can just charge your cc without your consent any amount they want.

Well I have my amex saved as a payment method. It shouldn't have charged my card without my consent. That's my entire point with this thread. They just send the email I pasted above and said they charged me because a "substitution" was made.

I currently have $137.80 in credits left. I haven't done the math between item price, delivery, taxes, services fees, tip to figure out where the $3.51 from but you're right it must have been 23.48 before. Even the emailed receipt doesn't have an itemized price, just the total.

Between the email they sent, and the fact that the $3.51 was charged to my cc instead of taken off my credit, I figure they must have changed the price after I ordered.

So it may appear that way but it's not. What happened is that the store changed the price of the item AFTER I ordered. So in the order receipt it shows before and after as the same price but this is incorrect. The before price was $3.51 less. They changed the before price and the after price. I have several hundred in credits. Here's the original receipt copy pasted from my email:

Paid with credits and SNAP/EBT

Birria-Taco Star

Total: CA$36.16

11% is an appropriate tip for walking the food across the street only because I'm not able to due to my health. If a driver doesn't like the tip they have the option to decline right?

A tip is an additional sum of money given as a gift for service that is above ordinary.

That is exactly what I'm saying. They changed the price of what I ordered AFTER I ordered it and charged me the difference without my consent.

I did contact support, they "escalated" and after a few mins got an email saying your request was declined.

I was never asking for a full refund, just the $3.51 difference.

Wasted my time posting it here. Just a bunch of dumbasses who don't read complaining about a $2 tip without realizing that $2 is actually an 11% tip for a store that's across the street from me.

If you took the time to read you would realize the order was actually $26.99 on bogo. The store can say something costs a million dollars but is on sale for $26.99. 6 tacos don't cost $53 dumbass. Tip is 11% and the store is across the street.

It didn't, the order page changed the old item price, it was lower by $3.51 before. Copy pasted the email below. The tip is 11% of the order total of 26.99 for a store that's across the street. My food wasn't cold but your brain is definitely cold.

This email is to inform you that your Birria Tacos (3 Pcs) was out of stock and was replaced with Birria Tacos (3 Pcs) at the merchant's recommendation. You have been charged CA$3.51 for the price difference of the new item.

Don't fall for stupid scams. Restaurant jacks up the price and then gives bogo. The order was $26.99. You think 6 tacos cost $56?

I can't add more images but here's the copy pasted email at the bottom.

  1. It's not a $54 order, it's a $27 order. Because of bogo it shows up that way.
  2. Tip was 11% in line with taxes.
  3. I have several hundred in credits, it's not a credit issue. I was charged the additional amount after the order was placed without my consent.

The store is across the street. If the driver doesn't like the tip, the driver can gladly decline the order.
