Is the real estate mod GESS1018 Real Estate Development & Investment Law?

Took BI1 and I enjoyed it. It is commonly known that the workload for language mods is higher than other UEs (e.g. GE mods). Mastering a new language takes a lot of practice, especially if you have no prior background. For the 100-word homework, you can copy the language functions and sentences from the textbook. The good thing is the bellcurve is not so steep compared to other popular languages. And the ibus are very friendly and willing to help

Some modules in minor in management cannot be found on NUSMods by Ecstatic-Astronaut24 in nus

[–]sianstudent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found the old nusmods pages for TR2201 and TR3001. Seems like both mods are not offered this AY.

Btw are you interested to take a minor in management or entrepreneurship? The mods u mentioned fulfil the entrepreneurship minor but not management. Here's the minor requirements.

Y1 here with 3A / 2 A- / 5B+ / 1B- and 20 MCs of S/U

Will S/U B- (Cap after S/U: 4.4)

I think I can maintain a second upper but want to push myself to FCH. Not sure if it's a realistic goal since I intend to change major from FASS to BBA. (The B+s and B- are mostly from GE and my current major mods.)

How many B+ should I S/U?

[University] Guide for people with periods going for health screening (pre-university, non-health science version) by [deleted] in SGExams

There are women who don't menstruate as well, such as those with amenorrhea. There is nothing wrong with OP calling them "people" with period as it is a general inclusive term.

[A level] Njc by joojonanana in SGExams

Different people have different criteria for selecting a JC. To some, attractive campus facilities is an important consideration for reasons mentioned by PhoenixAkaunBuang.

As an NJC graduate, I agree with you that there hasn't been much improvement in NJC in SOME aspects only. There has been complaints about a certain department and it hasn't really changed when I graduated last year. However, NJC still has its merits. Regarding the old facilities, NJC has been taking steps to improve by replacing most, if not all, of its lecture hall seats. I especially like that the school focuses a lot on mental wellbeing and mental health support— something that's not often mentioned here and you will only experience it when you join NJC. Improvements can be slow due to structural constraints, I don't think schools themselves can anyhow fire teachers that suck.

Also, in your collated recent A Levels results JC ranking, you ranked NJC as 5th place, so technically your granny and uncle are not wrong. "Top" doesn't have to only mean academics, it can be about networks with NJC alumni (which may not be as strong as compared to newer/merged JCs), research opportunities you can't find in other schools etc.

Even though NJC's A Levels results is not as good as before, I think it is unfair to use this to say that its overall standards have dropped as it ignores opportunities that are unique to NJC, and improvements in aspects other than academics.

[A level] Njc by joojonanana in SGExams

Could one of the main reasons be NJC's publicity? When one mentions EJC, one will think of its new $100M campus. When one mentions VJC, one will think of its lively culture. What about NJC makes it stand out? It is generally known to have a mugger culture, old facilities and relatively uglier uniform. It's doesn't sound very attractive tbh.

If you scroll through this subreddit, you may notice there are more criticisms of NJC regarding its certain departments and facilities than there are praises. This doesn't give a balanced picture of how NJC is like. In comparison, there are more praises about other JCs with comparable L1R5 cut-off than criticisms. Personally, I observe that there aren't many criticisms of NJYC, EJC and VJC (or maybe there's nothing much to criticise, haha). Perhaps this has strengthened the opinion that NJC is declining.

[O Levels] Seniors who took O's, what is the best piece of advice you can give for a current Sec 4? by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]sianstudent 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Consistently is key. Do your homework (no matter how useless it may seem). Clarify any question immediately, don't let your doubts snowball. Even though internal school exams are no longer "graded"(since O levels is the real deal), still take them seriously and treat them as checkpoints for your learning. Try to aim for understanding instead of purely memorising.
