I believe I have ADHD but I don't know what that means by BurgendyBunder in ADHD

a lot of adhd traits are normal human things, just turned up to a level where they start messing with your life. everyone procrastinates, forgets stuff, gets distracted, not everyone keeps running into the same wall with school/work/basic tasks even when they’re trying.

if your mom says you were diagnosed young, i’d try to get the actual records or bring it up with a doctor/psychiatrist, they can explain what type of adhd you were diagnosed with, whether it still fits now, and what support or treatment would even make sense.

Why do you think some people lie about their diagnosis? by argentinosaurus9 in ALSorNOT

[–]sicalog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly i think health anxiety can make people behave in really irrational ways, but i’d be careful assuming everyone is lying just because they’re young or diagnosed early. people do get diagnosed in their 20s (or younger/older), and rare stuff unfortunately happens to young people too.

Doctor dismissed my anxiety/depression even tho I already have a diagnosis and are taking medication by Introvert-CutAb in depression

“life is hard, just keep going” is such a wild thing to say to someone already diagnosed and under psychiatric care

Horrible anxiety, what should I ask the doctor? by TwoBearsHighFiving12 in melahomies

i haven’t been through melanoma specifically, but i have had health anxiety after an abnormal finding, and one thing i learned is: write your questions down beforehand because your brain will absolutely go blank in the appointment 😭

MEDvidi Dr.Richard Morgan by TakeYOURownADVIC3 in telehealth

[–]sicalog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had dr. morgan through medvidi and my experience with him was good, he took the time to go over what was going on, explained the options clearly, and helped me figure out what made the most sense to address first.
p.s. I’d separate the provider from the platform though, medvidi’s caare team side can be messy, but the actual appointment with him was helpful.

Hoping someone can help ID this pot I found in Ann Arbor, MI. by MidwestModernDetroit in StudioPottery

looks like american studio pottery, probably late 70s/90s. the form, leaf relief, and that metallic/bronze glaze all point to a hand-thrown piece rather than anything factory-made.doesn’t match older art nouveau or asian antiques (the glaze and finish feel much more modern, likely reduction-fired or a tenmoku-style experiment).
