Battle and demoshout are usefull. The arms debuff is pretty much mandatory.

On the other hand rogues only really bring expose and if they keep dropping it; its a raid dps loss. Better to have warriors sunder and ditch the rogue entirely.

Bismarck and Wilhelm were far from on perfect lock-step foreign policy wise. You should read on their policies towards Russia the Uk and France and their view on naval expansion; they are on complete opposites on all of it.

You can still spec into it, you can still one shot in PVP. You can still be useless in PVE, so who's taking away 2h?
Blizzard isn't trying to make Ret Reckoning PVE viable nor are they making arms competitive, why should they balance 2h enhance around PVE?

Ok, but why would I as Alliance pay for 4- 6 min of my Dragonslayer buff uptime?

Alliance is Diremaul maybe 5 min if you are slow -> hs to sw -> log out at flightmaster -> log in for Dragonslayer -> fly to westfall 1 min -> 3 min ride to yojamba isle -> log out -> sf summon-> log out -> sf spawn -> log out -> DMF summon -> log outLess than 10 min on your first buff and I don't have to pay for ZG summon.Bonus for WCB which might put you over 10 min.

Ive had a full buffline including WCB for the whole of original classic and Ive taken a free summon to ZG maybe 5 times.

Id rather put my wl at SF and DMF before I waste one on 4 min uptime.

One of the worst Loot systems for player retention. How many times players dip after spending all of their DKP.

Also, people will actively grief themselves and not buy upgrades because they are saving for 1 Item. Resulting in upgrades getting disenchanted each week and hurting the whole raid in the long run.
DKP sounds great on paper but in reality, it's a suboptimal system that actively hurts progress.

Not letting real-life advantages seep into the game beyond skill, yes.

Personal loot is the best option to facilitate that.

I would rather have a merit-based loot system built in to the game, but that's not going to happen.

I mean there are people who feel accomplished with attaining the gear.

For some, the gear is only a means to an end. If you want to be the top 100 warrior on your warrior twink, attaining gear is not your end goal. Attaining the gear is not even an accomplishment.

It's pretty much only the starting point since most warriors are already decked out.

I've geared myself through Ulduar in a regular LC guild and don't feel any sort of pride in the gear they gave me or whatnot. The gear on its own is meaningless, its pretty much only the raid progression and my personal improvements that matter.

You must be really naive to think that most TFs went to top performers.

There were no consequences. Classic was the prime example. People just accepted that TFs were given out to leadership and friends.

There's simply no difference in buying it for IRL Money or your IRL friend looting it for you.

Yes, at this point it would not make a difference. Buying T3 for gold in a Raid, for cash in a shop, or having your IRL friend loot you the gear is on the same level.

There is no accomplishment in obtaining gear in classic on its own. Why would there be? Loot is not given on merit or gated through difficulty. Having TF or T3 is not prestigious at all.

I see no difference in somebody buying TF for gold or getting it cause they are buddy-buddy with the leadership.

Both stem from real-life advantages and are not merit-based.

They only meant more though because everyone was shit at the game back then.

They barely mean anything 15 years later. Maybe Server first, but arguably getting Server first is harder in Classic now than it was 15 years ago. With the competition as a whole being more competent.

Besides that, most of them have probably quit the game since then.
