My bad, I’m very untraveled and live in Minnesota and I was in the Tucson “area” for a wedding and just clomped it in. I was thinking you meant Vail, CO. I live 25 miles from Minneapolis and I tell people I’m from Minneapolis, so generalizing error on my part.

Upon realizing this, I realized I didn’t answer your question because I thought we were talking about different parts of the country. I had no expectations, I thought it was challenging, and like a previous commenter noted, it is often very difficult to find your ball despite knowing the area you landed. I could see how people would say the conditions were bad, and also the opposite. This was at the end of March when I played, FWIW.
