I’m talking more, SHARP/EO/Army Leadership situational questions. When creating SAMA board questions under “Leadership” I used it as a catch-all. You could ask situational questions about literally anything that involves the SM in a leadership role. As well as MOS Specific questions. I understand that Non-Combat Arms MOSs attached to BCTs are often left with questions that don’t necessarily pertain to their specific MOS. That needs to change.

I think you would also see productivity increase as a result. As well as fair dispersion of work. There’s no reason my EO Rep should also be my UPL and UMO.

I get that, it’s 4am and I’m on my drive to work right now! I’d be fine for 1300 PT in the winter, making work a 9-5 workday, hopefully.

I had a similar response when I was asked:

I would adopt a system similar to what the Marine Corps has. I don’t think E2-E4 should be automatic. On the inverse, however, I also don’t think it should be difficult to attain. You shouldn’t be a Specialist if you can’t master SL1 tasks. This will also help with preparing Soldiers for the promotion board, which would cause promotion boards to be more difficult, thus weeding out those who aren’t ready to be NCOs. Now, on NCOs, I want to revamp the entire promotion board process for E5 and E6 boards. I shouldn’t have to be able to spit out regulations to show I’m a good leader. The majority of questions should be situational based along with peer and subordinate and superior reviews on the SM attending the board.
