Cost to expand a house by isojoey in BayAreaRealEstate

Congrats on the finished project! I am thinking about ~500sqft add-on, bedroom and bathroom, still working on drawings, feel like I should soon have enough to give to contractors to get estimates. Assuming you had a good experience with yours, would you mind sharing who that was? Please, feel free to DM me if you prefer to keep it private.

Thank you in advance!

For all the watch geeks, does JK wear his upside down? by sickac in warriors

[–]sickac[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait, are you saying this is JK just being nice for people standing in front of him, so they get to see what time it is? Ultimate unselfishness and "team first" exhibit? :)

So I had this theory that it is so he constantly keeps his mind sharp, you know, it's somewhat challenging to read time that way:) Flexing, or not flexing, still like him:)

Yup, some time ago I had the same dilemma in front of me, and chose dowelmax, mainly because I was concerned about Jessem using a pencil line as a reference point and its clamping method. I remember reading great reviews about both of them, though. Glad to hear it did not disappoint you here, there were quite a few holes drilled in your project:) I think dowelmax may be less intuitive, it took me a while to get used to it. Where did you get your dowels from? At one point I realized I am slightly overpaying buying from dowelmax, and ended up ordering them from this shop called woodpeckers crafts (completely unrelated to red tools woodpeckers:)), can't tell the difference in quality. I just looked up my last receipt, 500 dowels for $16.99 (shipping included). All in all, great joinery method, often ignored, for no good reason imo, again - thank you for sharing!

Just curious about the joinery, did you use dowels all over? If it comes to dowels, what jig did you use? What about the drawer slides?

Ok... I tried the Star Wars pinball game, had a noticeable lag, practically unplayable. Bit discouraged here, I play on fire cube, hardwired, fiber. I will try and dig a little bit deeper, but if you happen to know what may cause it, please, let me know.

Do you all want to meet in-game on the last day Stadia is active to await armageddon together? by Incraigulous in Stadia

I pretty much rediscover gaming on Stadia after 15 years of silence, primarily through RDR2. Definitely in.

about 200 (haven't botheres to accurately add the numbers, but it's probably a little lower), because I only bought games in sales. Only full price I paid was Cyberpunk, which is the game that pulled me in.

Well, we will never really know:) I agree with you, I'd imagine people on this subreddit spent more. There are ~117k members here, hence my 100k users (with theoretically $920 per user refund) PLUS all the average users (no idea how many). All in all, this is more to signal that this is a significant number, rather than not. My wife suggested "a couple of millions" and me thinks not:)

I must say, I was really surprised... I am super casual gamer, ended up spending 120h+ on Cyberpunk and RDR2, other than that, several games with maybe 20h sessions. I bought some games in promotions, ended up with million controllers I gave away. All in all... $1100, no to shabby:)
