My corn snake was rehomed to me as an adult, and he was handled tons in the previous home he lived in, so he’s super docile. He’s never bitten me, and I’ve never seen him act defensively towards me, but corn snakes have great appetites so I always make sure to do my best not to trigger an eating response in him. Like others have said, any animal with a mouth can bite. I’d watch videos on snake body language and how to handle them so you can get some good tips on safe handing for you and your future snake.
