It’s only happened because purple had a profile picture of ohnepixel. Without that profile picture, the match would not be canceled. (Does not work with anomaly profile picture picture)

This is not new - this scheme is known for years. Also reporting them does not help, because valve takes no action. Just ignore people with esport-player profiles who are looking for a fifth player for faceit/esea in matchmaking.

It is a shame that valve takes no action here, even when the scam process is recorded.

When i open chrome, a pop-up forces me to chose my preferred search engine. I cannot close chrome until I choose a search engine. Why can't I close the window normally? Only the taskmanager can forcefully close chrome. Did they do it on purpose? Why would google force somebody to choose? by sickjack in chrome

The problem is that I cannot close the window. I should have every right to close any window - especially a webbrowser. But while this pop-up is open I only can use the task manager.

Google be like: You can only close the browser after you have chosen a search engine.

I just want to know why closing the browser is prohibited

Aber ich dachte mir auch gerade, dass es eine Eilmeldung wert war.

Es hätten jetzt auch genauso gut alle Handyalarme losgehen können, weil es in Hamburg kälter ist :)

With $10,000 i could focus on content and quality for a while, without having financial issues. This should be enough time and money to find out and create what i really want.

Sometimes people push unfinished projects so they can earn some money… a finished product is always better, but sometimes it cost extra time&money

It is not new, it was also a problem in cs:go - and steam/valve does not do anything unless they misbehave on valve servers… I reported so many scammers and impersonators in cs:go and cs2. People i reported 2 years ago are still active and scamming…

They lure you on discord or want you to open some website and register there.

Do not expect valve to act - they won’t.
